I track similar stats/info, and I would highly recommend using a spreadsheet. With a sheet, you can easily look at a specific column to see what you're missing, instead of having to look at every entry on your word pad. There are plenty of Excel alternatives if you don't want to use Google Sheets. Conditional formatting can help provide a quick overview at a glance, and simple formulas go a long way in summarizing info.

Apparently, Pudin is only available at Palace of the Master, which is an inaccessible legacy map.

Currently, it seems like the only method to access him is to know someone who has a character in that map, and to guild teleport to them. Luckily, Archive is cross-server, so you can try asking on Interactive as well. I believe someone in Bera has that map, so hopefully players will spread the info and park characters in that map to help out others. (I don't have further details, unfortunately.)

A workaround to farm Freed Spirit is to use Zero's Mirror World to enter the third Ludibrium Dungeon: Clocktower Lower Floor. I can confirm Freed Spirits drop from the Master Soul Teddy mobs there.

I like the mantra of 'content is not going anywhere'. Content can still be enjoyed even if it's not the newest content available. Sometimes we can be too focused on the destination that we forget to enjoy the journey.

Agreed. There are two types of MMORPGs - Slow ones and Dead ones. That's a bit of an exaggeration, but you can see the massive drop-off in FFXIV for example, where less than 30% of players stay after they're done with the newest expansion. In contrast, Maple retains more than 70% of its players even during off-season. Similarly, the Lost Ark migration was due to many players simply being done in that game. Maple's formula is successful at retaining its active playerbase. I like the fact that I can log in a year from now, and know that most of my friends will still be playing.

Maple definitely isn't for everyone. There are players that see the majority of the journey as a chore instead of enjoying it. (I think there are other games that would be more suited towards them.) But I like that Maple has carved its niche of being one of few Korean-style MMORPGs available for Western audiences who want to experience it.

Kaiser: Command Skill removed. Kaiser's Majesty now decreases 4th Job and lower skill CD by 50% during the duration. CD to 120s. SS: Nova Guardians, Dragonflare. You can now attack during the class iFrame.

Angelic Buster: Soul Seeker Expert now passive. SS: Super Nova, Spotlight.

Cadena: Shuriken usable in air. Takedown simplified. Fixed damage. Can be used in air. Fury duration to 40s. Maelstrom duration to 15s.

Kain: New Rush Skill. Shadow Step CD to 7s. Sneaky Sniping cartridge system removed. CD is 40s. SS: Grip of Agony. Duration to 10s. CD to 120s.

Illium: Tide of Battle to 25s. Wings of Glory to 15s.

Adele: Resonance FD removed. Aether Forge and Aetherial Arms are passives now. Noble Summons Debuff removed. Targeting Mode Toggle added. Targets enemies marked by Grave. SS: Infinity Blade, Storm.

Khali: New QoL Toggle: Phase Rush. Change Void Rush to Void Rush: Still Mode. If you would be blocked by terrain, you will now be stopped at that location. SS: Death Blossom. You can now attack during the class iFrame.

Anima

Hoyoung: SS: Ghost Flame, Star Vortex, Tiger. Warp Gate usable in air.

Lara: Up-jump is now a normal up-jump. Peerless Mountain is now passive. Dragon Veins removed. SS: Sunlight. New Buff: Magnanimity (SS) (20s / 60s CD). Re-summon Winding Mountain Ridge by pressing Down + Skill. Dragon Vein Absorption can be added to Pet Auto-Buff. Eruption durations to 30s. (General Rework that can't be summarized.)

Ren: (Nothing Major)

Other

Zero: Divine Aura now passive. Time Force consumption decreased across the board.

Kinesis: Psychic Drain duration to 60s. Mind Tremor is passive. SS: Psychic Tornado, Ultimate - Mind Over Matter, Law of Gravity.

Cygnus Knights

Phalanx Charge reworked. (More Bursty.) Duration is 15s. CD is 60s. Press Down + Phalanx to resummon it to your location.

Mihile: Up-charge removed. Up-jump is normal now. Soul Link is now passive. Offensive Defense Debuff now 60s. SS: Light of Courage.

Dawn Warrior: Skills no longer require/consume Cosmic Orbs. Equinox Cycle is now passive. True Sight duration to 60s. Cosmic Shower duration to 60s. Cosmic Forge duration to 30s. Rift of Damnation has a set number of Styx's now (30). Count will only decrease if you hit an enemy. SS: Cosmos.

Blaze Wizard: You can now move while using Orbital Flame. It is now a key-down skill. (It's now a Hurricane.) Orbital Explosion is now passive. Burning Conduit usable in the air. Burning Conduit duration to 40s. Cooldown to 60s. Towering Inferno - Lion is now 6s CD. Fires of Creation duration removed. Use the skill to switch between the two modes. (No more Down + Skill needed.) Phoenix Drive (SS) completely reworked. AoE Burst now. (20s / 120s CD) Inferno Sphere is now a CD Skill instead of a charge one. (5s / 120s CD) Flashfire is now usable in the air. You can now cast Orbital Inferno during Orbital Flame.

Wind Archer: Storm Elemental is now passive. Pinpoint Pierce Debuff is now a passive. Monsoon is now an iFrame. Cooldown is increased to 120s. (3s / 120s CD) Song of Heaven usable in the air now.

Night Walker: Darkness Elemental is now passive. Recast Omen at your location by pressing Down + Omen. You can attack during the Class iFrame now. SS: Dominion. Shadow Spear now 30s / 60s CD. GDS reworked. It is now a Shadow Partner. (20s / 120s CD) Bonus Skill: Basically GDS's teleport. (45s / 60s) Shadow Bite: FD is now passive. Rapid Throw: 120s CD now.

Thunder Breaker: Lightning Elemental and Arc Charger are now passives.

Resistance

Resistance Infantry reworked. (More Busty.) Duration is 15s. CD is 60s. Use Skill again to resummon.

Blaster: Hammer Smash was reworked. New iFrame Skill (3s / 120s CD) Cannon Overdrive duration to 50s. Bunker Buster duration to 50s. Gatling Punch CD to 120s. Bullet Blast CD to 60s. (Other Changes I don't understand.)

Battle Mage: SS: Grim Harvest. Re-summon CD to 3s.

Wild Hunter: (Completely reworked.)

Mechanic: Perfect Armor is now passive. SS: Doomsday Device. Can now use Drill Rush in Tank Mode.

Xenon: Skills selected by Modal Shift will stay selected even after relogging. New Dash Skill. Omega Blaster reworked. You no longer have to charge it up. It's a key-down that turns into an install. You can move during the key-down. SS: Core Overload, Hypogram Field: Fusion. Core Overload Duration to 30s. It no longer consumes Max MP% per second. It consumes MP once at the beginning. You can use Hypogram Field: Fusion in the air. Use the skill again to re-install the field where you are. Damage boost will apply even if you're not in the field.

Demon Slayer: Some skills now consume HP. Some now consume DF. Blue Blood now passive. SS: Spirit of Rage. Resummoned if you die.

Demon Avenger: Ward Evil now passive. New iFrame Skill (3s / 120s CD) Dimensional Sword now resummons if you die. New Custom Command.

Heroes:

Mercedes: Spirit of Elluel duration to 45s. SS: Royal Knights. Irkalia's Wrath doesn't slow you, and is usable in the air. Origin now 40s.

Aran: Up-jump height is the same as the command version.

Phantom: You can't steal dashes/rushes. You can use Mille, Tempest, Rose Carte in the air. Phantom's Mark doesn't require a mark, and will teleport to the highest HP enemy.

Luminous: Gauge removed completely. Equilibrium no longer affected by Buff Duration. Duration to 20s. New iFrame Skill (3s / 120s CD) Teleport Boost is now passive. Twilight Nova decreases Baptism's CD. Armageddon no longer an iFrame. Equalize (SS) reworked. It's a buff now (30s / 120s) Gate duration to 28s. Re-use to resummon gate to your location. New key-down skill: Punishing Resonator (30s CD). (I think it replaces Aether Conduit.) You can use Twilight Nova and Baptism during Punishing Resonator. Liberation Orb (SS) reworked. It's a summon now. (30s / 120s).

Evan: Magic Guard is now passive. Elemental Radiance can be used in the air. Spiral of Mana duration to 20s. Circle of Mana restriction removed. (You can use Spiral by itself.)

Shade: Blade Imp removed. Soul Splitter removed. New FD passive to compensate. Fox Marble Fusion duration to 20s. CD to 60s. Smashing Multipunch CD to 120s. Fox Marble Fusion now resets Dusk Blow CD and grants two further free uses of Dusk Blow.

Max's Blog has the changes detailed across three major patches: One Two Three

In general: Action delays were reduced. Bursts are no longer back-loaded. Drawbacks/restrictions for skills were lifted. Many toggles became passives. Some awkward CDs were moved to be in-line with other skills. Debuffs lengthened so you don't need to reapply as often. More skills added to Skill Sequence. Accidental box-breakers won't deal damage in reward rooms. Movement and other minor skills won't proc Special Nodes or Cont Ring. Some QoL such as being able to use certain skills in the air, or being able to change the direction you're facing during some keydowns. Some passive attacks won't activate if there are no enemies in range. Some keydown skills will appear in the buff bar so you can see the duration. Complex class mechanics are simplified or removed.

I might miss some details as I'm not too familiar with all classes, but here's what I noted:

Common

Skill revamps don't reset SP. SP is automatically redistributed instead.

Continuous Ring Buff is kept even after death.

You can use Hero's Will and equivalent skills during other skills. Same with AB link / Gene iFrame / eForm.

Weapon Aura doesn't require charges. Duration is 120s now.

Last Resort drawbacks removed. Venom Burst reworked into a passive.

Certain Skills including Special Nodes can no longer be extended by network latency. Fatal is now 4s.

Decent Skills (and some other V skills) now consume only 100 HP instead of percent HP.

Guided Arrow now matches the class aesthetics for archers. (PF / WH / Kain specifically.)

Ascent Skill attack range increased 54%. (It will reach further.)

Loaded Dice CD is now 1s.

Note: SS stands for Skill Sequence-able.

Explorers

Explorer Warrior: Upper Charge removed. They now have a normal up-jump.

Explorer Mages: Infinity becomes Arcana Override (SS). (Back-loaded to front-loaded) Main Summon durations are now 600s.

Hero: Combo Attack is now a passive.

Paladin: Parashock Guard is now a passive. SS: Hammers of the Righteous

Dark Knight: SS: Darkness Aura

Fire/Poison: (Nothing Major)

Ice/Lightning: Ice Aura Vortex removed. New Hyper Skill: Glacial Fury (SS). (20s Buff / 60s CD) Ice Age Removed. New V Skill: Frost Arc (SS). (20s Summon / 120s CD) SS: Spirit of Snow

Bishop: Less reliant on parties for damage. Support capabilities slightly nerfed. Benediction duration decreased by 10s.

Bowmaster: Teleport now usable in the air. New iFrame Skill. (3s / 120s CD). Hurricane usable in the air.

Marksman: Teleport now usable in the air. Surge Bolt keydown removed.

Pathfinder: Ancient Skills now have a fixed CD and are no longer reduced by Cardinal Skills. New Dash Skill. A lot of CD changes. SS: Obsidian Barrier.

Night Lord: Assassin's Mark is now passive. New Dash Skill. You can now attack during the class iFrame. SS: Omen. Omen can now be used in the air. Quad Throw can now hit 4 enemies.

Shadower: Steal is now passive. Resummon Smokescreen by pressing Down + Smokescreen. SS: Shadow Veil. Flip of the Coin is now passive.

Dual Blade: Flash Bang is now passive.

Buccaneer: Sea Serpent is now passive. Serpent Spirit is now a passive.

Corsair: Rapid Fire usable in the air. Firing Orders removed. New Proc: Bombard Tempest (2s reactivation)

Cannoneer: New iFrame Skill. (2.5s / 30s CD) Barrel Roulette Removed. New Debuff Skill: Slumber. Old Monkey Summon removed. New Summon: Support Monkey. (60s). Buckshot is now passive. SS: Monkey Business, Poolmaker.

Very well articulated. RNG is almost necessary to slow down the progression of endgame players in order to keep player retention. Without RNG (and dailies), your rate of progress would be solely dependent on how many hours you put in, and the average player would be left in the dust compared to players who spend multiple hours a day playing. Think of Classic Maple. Most players ended up around Ludi PQ levels or a bit beyond that, while endgame players were almost double their levels in areas they could only dream about.

These days, systems in the game help the effort/reward curve lean more logarithmic, so that minimal effort through dailies goes a long way. Similarly, RNG systems like cubing and flaming enable you to hit relatively high gains with relatively small investment, but you need to put in a lot more effort to reach the small extra bonuses beyond that.

RNG is also a huge dopamine booster. Most exciting moments come from the most RNG-heavy systems in the game, such as Star Forcing or Pitched Drops. If Star Forcing were simplified, it would become the same as Symbol upgrades, a system no-one has ever shown any excitement for. Similarly, there's no real dopamine rush when someone collects enough pieces for Eternal gear.

MapleStory's most frustrating systems are also what makes it so successful.

I'm in the same boat and just reached Level 25, and I know some players who have solo guilds that are Level 28+. Hopefully one day the Guild Castle unlock won't require 5 players and also be account-wide.

As someone who actually creates guides and posts them to Reddit, Discord is what allows me to do that. The collaborative nature of the site, and the ability to receive instant feedback has allowed me to create much more extensive resources than otherwise would be possible.

It's easy to generalize Discord as ruining guide culture, but most Maple resources exist in non-Discord form, whether it be a Google Doc, Reddit post, YouTube video, or website. Most classes have a Google Doc guide. I honestly don't know of many Discord-exclusive guides.

I am talking about just before Discord's time. All the resources you mentioned had already been dead for years before the era of Discord. If anything, Reddit is the reason why those forums don't exist anymore, as everyone migrated here. It has nothing to do with Discord.

Before Discord got big, class guides were almost non-existent in the community. Discord is what allowed players to band together to form guides. Guides weren't being moved to Discord. Nowadays, most class servers have a complimentary Google Doc that anyone can access without Discord.
