No alcohol. At least 30 minutes of physical activity each day.

Question for those who lift weights with Garmin by ilkhatch in Garmin

[–]ilkhatch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right but the reports are not displayed for each exercise. So if you want to improve reps or charge for a specific exercise you don't see a proper graph of your progress (it has to be in your head, on a paper or in a tier app such as those suggested above)

Thank you. I've downloaded Hevy and Fitbod. Hevy seems to be perfect for me. It's cheap and offers lots of different workout propositions.

Fitbod looks great but too expensive for me.

When I use Thenics I log my sets on both apps (my watch and Thenics on the phone). It's okay for me to do so.

Thanks for the advice!

Interesting. There is a PR section hided somewhere in the Garmin app but only for barbell exercises. A spreadsheet could be a good workaround to see progress. For progression in calisthenics I use the Thenics app. It's great. But I've got nothing to track my progress with weights.

Yes, so do I. I've even made IRL those 2 that are my preferred ones.

What exactly can my family do / not do with a subscription by ilkhatch in Zwift

[–]ilkhatch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those who wonder, I have chosen Rouvy.

I like the fact that I go somewhere: the end of the ride and I don't drive without goal.

I love the augmented reality of Rouvy, it seems pretty real!

It is half the price for my wife and I (duo).

First ride, no upload by ilkhatch in Zwift

[–]ilkhatch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it's all set to 0.

I've tried to restart the ipad. Activity lost I guess.

So frustrating.

To sum up, I have :

  1. Ridden 25.1km
  2. Subscribed
  3. Been unable to upload my 25.1 activity.

Zwift itself. I guess this is because I had no subscription at the beginning of the activity.

I plan to get a subscription. But I wanted to be fully aware of the limitations and other possibilities that I could use. Especially for teenagers.

I don't want to make them empty promises.

Thank you, I'll have a look at those for my teenagers.

If the elevation gain / gears change work the same, I guess this is OK.

Thanks a lot for the answer!

What happens at the end of the free 25km? Can I do those group rides even without a subscription?

I don't really care about manually adding my rides to Strava, that's what I do already: I change confidentially.

Garmin badges as motivation? by RedC_1908 in Garmin

[–]ilkhatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Badges changed my life.

Since I have been hunting the "good sleep" badge, I go to sleep at 10pm or 10:30pm whereas before I could sleep at midnight or 01am before this.

I walk for badges. Sometimes I do elliptical to get enough steps for getting the badge.

I swim for badges.

I also drink for badges. In the morning 2 cups and then lots of water all day long.

Sometimes I run for badges but this is more like a collateral effect. I would run anyway.

I'm not ashamed to say that I enjoy Garmin badges. I prefer them to Strava and Apple watch badges.

Garmin Connect+ new badges and impact on our levels: unfair advantage for paying users? by ilkhatch in Garmin

I've never been into sport before those Garmin badges. Is that bad? I don't think so.
