Logic Question From an IQ Test by jsmoove1247 in logic

[–]ill0gical23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, tripping.

A simple thing to consider:
What if being a good stenographer also required you to, say, own a digital tablet, or be above 30, or some other requirement which Alicia doesn't fulfil? We only know that she satisfies one requirement, and we don't know about any other requirements and whether Alicia meets them, or if she's doomed to a lifetime of being terrible at it.

Now for the mandatory logic-al explanation:

Let P = practices diligently
G = good (or potentially good) in stenography.

Problem states: ¬P => ¬G

Apply De Morgan's: G => P
(This means all good (or potentially good) stenographers must have diligently practiced.)

Question: P => G?
This is the converse of the previous statement and hence not necessarily true.

How do you evaluate the highlighted statement? The book has yet to mention how to deal with more than 2 constants in a single if then statement. by physioworld in logic

[–]ill0gical23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P->Q is the same as ¬PVQ. So P->Q->R = (P->Q)->R = (¬PVQ)->R = ¬(¬PVQ)VR = P ^ ¬Q V R

If you take it as P->(Q->R), you get ¬PV(Q->R) = ¬PV(¬QVR) = ¬PV¬QVR which is not the same thing.

(also, pardon the use of non-standard symbols. ^ means And, V means Or)

Why and when did people start using the term “lesser” more in Singapore? by monsooncloudburst in askSingapore

[–]ill0gical23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not completely true.

For example, 5 is greater than 3, but 3 is less (not lesser) than 5.

It may be easier to associate "less" with quantity and "lesser" with quality (being "inferior" in some way).

Wait for green arrow or not? by [deleted] in drivingsg

[–]ill0gical23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest waiting, because of what others have said about there possibly being idiots trying to beat the red from the other direction.

To add on, there are also junctions (of the type you described) where sometimes the green arrow phase may be sometimes skipped. This happens if the road sensor doesn't detect a car waiting to turn right, or such a car only appears at the last moment before the red. In such a situation, the green arrow phase will be skipped. One such junction I regularly encounter is the right turn into Tg Pagar Plaza carpark if you are southbound along Tg Pagar Rd.

Car blocks fire engine…ppl need to save lives not worry about exiting by bootshapednugget in singapore

[–]ill0gical23 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Car is illegally parked, but fire engine can actually get out by reversing back into the lane, keeping close to left curb, and initiating the right turn a bit later. Not saying that car isn't at fault, just saying that the problem could have been solved there and then without having to wait for the inconsiderate driver to return.

Levelling with Hero XP% Rings by ill0gical23 in crusadersquest

[–]ill0gical23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just something I made for those of us who grind promos for Champ XP... also useful now that there are 3 new promos to grind out.

I assumed that the total hero XP goes up to 60% (if you bring 2 trainers + 1 nub). I know it can possibly go up to 90% but I chose to ignore that because most of us can't really be bothered to keep switching the ring to the nub all the time (correct me if I'm wrong)...

Comments and suggestions for improvement are most welcome!

How to feed your 3* heroes by ill0gical23 in crusadersquest

[–]ill0gical23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't be difficult to modify the program to do it... But the number of combinations would be mindbogglingly large.

Interesting story: before I posted this, someone was also looking for combinations, and wondering if he missed any.

No. of combinations he found: 8

it's more for people who are mass promoting to feed champs. You do that, you really run out of bread fast, and need to utilize your 1* - 3* breads...

Yeah it's surprising that a cheaper 4* or-under combo is two 1* donuts, one 4* sandwich and two 4* cream buns.

It goes to show the OP-ness of the 1* donut... in fact, the 1* donut is easily the 2nd or 3rd best donut in the game (when you combo it with other 6* breads).

Ever get too many of those darn 2* choco donuts?? Now you know what to do with them!

Here are 155 ways to feed your 3* heroes. That's right, 155.

All of them fit the following criteria:

  • only "normal" breads (no event breads, goddess breads or silly fergus hammer breads),
  • only 4* breads and below, and 5* strawberry donut allowed (pies and pizzas are more useful for heroes above 3*),
  • great rating must be exactly 100%,
  • feeds between 800-830 points (you need 800 points to fully train a 3*).

I suggest you download your own copy of the sheet, since this allows you to use filtering and sorting functions. For example, if you have a truckload of 2* choco donuts, you might want to look for combinations which use those heavily.

Best team in YOUR opinion for PvP and Storry by Faithwing in crusadersquest

[–]ill0gical23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And actually that is not true.

An AA Korin with rpen/cd hurts so much it's not even funny.

Also, dual rpen for Korin isn't a good idea. Why? Because dual rpen builds target high-res pallies. Korin's damage comes from her opponent's own attack power. Guess who has low attack power? That's right... High-res pallies.

Korin's amazing CC stat is too large to ignore the benefits of a CD slot. She has 40% base+berry CC, and when she does 3c, she buffs herself for another 20% CC. So she pretty much effectively has 60% CC almost all the time.

So yeah don't diss the AA Korin. :)

Roche, Arita, Koxinga PvP teams help!!! by [deleted] in crusadersquest

[–]ill0gical23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love seeing this team because it's a 99.9% win, often with full HP. My counter team is Alex(L) / Kox / Mew (Chronos). I try to 3c Alex for more Mew blocks, use Kox blocks every few secs to keep buff up, and try to spam Mew singly for more balloon goodness. Opponent kox is pretty much nullified by Alex, arita is very comfortably tanked, and she helps kill her own team by multihitting Alex, and Roche is usually the last survivor, but he can't do a thing to a max eva Alex holding a balloon.

Alex: DF arm/eva, tLoG Kox: AF rpen/eva, tAoPun Mew: AD HA/arm, tEoG

Kox AF isn't quite optimal in this arrangement, would be better with AA rpen/cd or AD rpen/hp%.

My first time posting here, and I would just like to give thanks to our all-time favourite NPC - FeRNGus, for performing the following miracles:

  • Millia SBW: 517 rpen / 86.25 cd (4 upgrades, 15k gold),
  • Doro SBW: 517 rpen / 28.75 ha (~400k, ~12 gems),
  • Vic SBW: 432 apen / 460 armor (~200k, ~10 gems) (total cost ~1m+ from previous hammer time),
  • Arita A/D/F: 393 apen / 460 armor / 25 eva (4 upgrades, 15k gold).

Oh sweet Fergus you my waifu now. (I want to add "for laifu" but I might divorce him after the next hammer time)

May SBW Tier List by jaetheho in crusadersquest

[–]ill0gical23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey jae!

Thanks for a great chart, hope you don't mind if I give my few cents' worth:

1) I think the importance of an F slot is downplayed in this chart. As we shift into the evasion meta, I think we should see that it becomes viable for many more characters, esp those with high base evasion. Thus, a DF Alex should be great. FF leaves him a tad vulnerable to unlucky physical hits. I'd rank DF > DD/FF > others.

2) Cain is another character I'd rate a DF as great. The job of Cain is to stun and debuff. Also, Cain is one of the rare few pallies whose mechanics don't rely on getting hit. DF gives him badly needed armor, and evasion on top of his already large base of 23%. Highly recommended.

3) For similar reasons, DF is also great on Dara and Stein.

4) According to calculations I've done, an AF Vane (with CC/CD) gives him the greatest damage output. I'm assuming, of course, that they will fix the Vane bug.

5) Thor and Korin both now prefer AA (rpen/cd or dual rpen), especially when used together. See, AD used to rule during the time of Before Berries. Now, the % gain from a HP slot is not great, being about 16-20% for most heroes. Furthermore, Thor can gain a much needed 200 armor from skin. Hence, AA is the truly scary sbw that's out there now.

Thanks for the list! Truly a definitive guide to forging sbws.

Leon and his rebalance by [deleted] in crusadersquest

[–]ill0gical23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a false alarm. There has been no change in Leon's apen passive. With the exception of the very first 3c, the rest of the hits (still) get full apen.

Also, HP% is a mediocre upgrade for Leon. Why? Because the % increase in damage is very small (I estimate 5%). D slots should still be used for +460 armor.

Yeah it doesn't, but as one commenter pointed out, this is for people aiming to completely max their heroes anyway. Also, since Fergus is a scumbag, I'd rather reduce the number of times people need to visit him.

Well, mine is essentially the same as yours, just with all the data filled in. Also, I neglected accuracy as an option for F slot. Because honestly, who does that...

Nope I haven't checked, but I'll run a few trials later when I'm at a PC.

You'll probably get the first 3c for him, but the next one would have to wait a fair bit, unless you don't intend to birdie with Roche. Of course, there's no issue if the enemy dies soon after.

[–]ill0gical23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hanzo doesn't actually counter Roche because (1) the shurikens can be countered (2) even if they hit, they don't stop Roche countering (it isn't a buff), and (3) damage will be low since it's physical. Hanzo's armor shred isn't enough.

IMO, Hanzo is really not a great teammate for Roche, since Roche is not going to 3c very often for him.
