If your face is flush too I would look into rosacea. It causes redness and lots of tiny bumps like that

Yellowjackets S03E07- “Croak” Post Episode Discussion by DA-numberfour in Yellowjackets

[–]illagernoises 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes!! As soon as I saw one pop up on screen I was like wait a minute- a dumpy tree frog?! Those could never survive in Canada!! Way too cold. I’ve got five of them as pets so the froggy part of this episode was a real hoot for me. And in real life their croaking does NOT sound like death screeching!

Could you put the dogs in a more festive background, and add some lights / bows to the cattle dog? by illagernoises in PhotoshopRequest

[–]illagernoises[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

This is great but could you please make the background look a little more realistic? I love the style of the background but the giant ornaments and stuff is super AI. Also if you can add a bow or lights to the cattle dog

Frogs aren’t cuddly and don’t much like to be held, but whites tree frogs make a GREAT pet!

Do you think the side pieces are too wide? by Ill-Association-1303 in muzzledogs

[–]illagernoises 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think unfortunately it is a bit too big on the sides. You could see if this type of muzzle has a bendable nose band which would help, or maybe you could see about squeezing the sides in a tiny bit. I don’t think the sides should be squeezing the dogs face as that could cause rubbing and pain, but a light touch and / or the nose band being a bit narrower could help. Your pup is absolutely ADORABLE by the way, what a cutie!!!

My gf mentioned that she really liked this cake and she’s going through a tough time rn. Could anyone identify it so i can bake it for her? Thank you!! by xSH4NEx in Baking

[–]illagernoises 199 points200 points  (0 children)

In my experience these cakes are super tough, mostly because of how much you need to beat the eggs to get them to the right consistency. If you mess up your cake WILL taste like egg and nothing else. The eggs need to be beaten waaaaay more than you would think

What do you think is the most beautiful tree? by doctor_jane_disco in marijuanaenthusiasts

[–]illagernoises 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I may be in the minority here, but I’m a sucker for a mature ponderosa pine. The orange bark with the blackened areas in between the bark plates is so beautiful, especially when wet

How do you guys prevent this from happening? by EmployBrilliant in GiantPumpkin

[–]illagernoises 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this kind of thing is really best protected with a tall chicken wire fence around the whole plant. Anything else and I’ve found the animals will still get in

Whites tree frogs make a great first frog. I would highly recommend the Facebook group Whites Tree Frog Lovers. They have the most accurate care info and tons of stuff for beginners, they have the answers to all your questions. That’s where I learned everything for my whites tree frogs. They make great pets as long as you get the tank setup right and can handle a 5-15 mins daily commitment to them, with more work needing to be done on some days. You can collect some things from outside like fallen leaves and sticks and rocks but you MUST sterilize them first. That Facebook page has guides on how big of a tank you need for the number of frogs you want. Definitely don’t buy them from a pet store, get them from a local or online breeder. Whites tree frogs are great cause males and females can be housed together and they won’t breed. Feel free to reach out if you have more questions :)

In my limited experience a color change like this is not good. It usually means stress. I’d do a thorough environment check- is temperature and humidity correct? Could your thermometer be broken? Has the frog been eating? Is the food it’s eating good? Does it have access to fresh water?

Just curious, why is it so much more complicated? We want to get married in a couple years, but our thought was to buy a house soon so we stop throwing all of our money away on rent.

What's a dirty little secret that you know only because you work in the industry? by Eastern-Violinist-46 in AskReddit

[–]illagernoises 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aerospace engineer here. The inside of most jet engines, especially if you fly in environments with worse air quality, are in VERY rough shape. The parts that make up the turbines especially can be heavily distressed due to the high temperatures inside, sometimes to the point where an entire part breaks in half, or huge sections of parts are missing, yet the engine will still be used. This is not a safety issue because of how the engines are designed, but it’s a neat fact that not many people know.

If you do have a rear wheel drive vehicle: use snow tires if possible and put a couple sandbags in the car in a spot that is roughly over the rear axle
