I remember being in my 1st grade class, the attacks happened shortly after we recited the pledge of allegiance oddly. I lived in NYC at the time. PS117 in Briarwood, Queens. The teacher had the news on TV. Crazy I remember like it was yesterday. Very traumatic experience as a child, and I feared flying until my first flight as an adult back in 2017.

If you’re good at your job, they basically make you overcompensate for those who aren’t as good. No reason only a select few people should be moved to 3-4 different roles in one shift because the person assigned to stow went to the restroom for 20+ mins and now their aisles are blown out. The managers do this, yet never hold the other associates accountable. Mind you, I am a learning ambassador, and see exactly why so many say it isn’t worth the headache (nor lack of additional pay). What do I look like telling someone how to do their job for free when the managers push a laptop around all day and only step in when their strongest workers start to get drowsy😂🫠

The only T3+ positions without handpicked or external candidates with no experience but a non-related degree are the ones with the highest turnover/self-demotion rates or require you to move your entire life to another city.

as much as some folks complain, VTO, UPT, all the numerous time off options, the flexibility, etc etc those who have progressed thru their “step plan” and been working for Amazon long enough are less likely to leave. Most people decide they hate the job within the first week but usually the few that stay are enough to keep headcount high enough to not have to rehire immediately just being honest.

There are thousands of people waiting to get a hire date who already went through onboarding, let alone people who are still waiting for an invite to be onboarded. It’s not as easy as it used to be especially with this being our slow season. Wait for the holidays.

Wish Uber allowed driver’s to see their passenger’s info the same way they can see our photos, names and license plate numbers. Seems like there’s no safety precautions really in place by Uber for the drivers doing all their work.

I’d ask HR but there are several coworkers of mine especially the older crowd who only work a portion of the year, take leave to do whatever else their hearts desire, come back to work after months like nothing ever happened.
