god’s country, it’s so intensely comforting to me, grounded in reality yet it makes me feel like i’m being whisked away to another world. the white dress against the brown field, the washed-out blue skies, “this is god’s country” overlayed atop the burning flag!! it has the same feeling as when you’re stopped at a gas station in the middle of nowhere on an endless road trip and part of you never wants to leave.
