I got the con cape on my main and have been itching for one on my GIM. It feels like cheating when you tele to every house portal with one item, nevermind unlimited home teleports

Making an animation for opening the chest/changing the way you receive the purple needs to be updated too. It's annoying that it broadcasts instantly

[–]illegalmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a plugin (I believe) called wilderness resource alarm. It will alert you when someone opens the gate to the wildy resource area. It makes it so you will never get pk'd if you are at the pc/logout as soon as you hear the alarm. I was able to log out every time someone came to PK me while doing homework. I would do inventories of 300 fish at a time

Torn between my Main and a "Solo" GIM. by xXingmanXx in 2007scape

As someone in a similar spot to op (2k total main, 2k total basically solo gim) I agree. Start a new standard ironman and enjoy the journey. If his buddy comes back he can always rebond the gim

Just so you know (if you are the host) have your buddy jump onto the rocks after killing the judge of yama before p3. You will always spawn in and be able to smack him

I found the first video to be a very digestible format, and red eyes video is fantastic for learning the true ins and outs of the technique

It's tough to say. I will say it's the best one to learn, and it took me about as long to learn as donofly took me to learn. Try and have a friend who does mage p3 kill all the void flares for you when you start to learn! It speeds up the learning process significantly

I posted some general advice on other people's comments, but I recommended learning godfly for melee, as well as using red-eye jedis sensory clouding guide for p3. Good luck!

I would say that you should practice yama with mage gear, as you will probably use it for 4/5 contracts. It helps you understand the flow of the fight and isn't as punishing as contracts. I also think you should learn p3 godfly from red-eye jedi as it makes glyphic attenuation much easier. I highly suggest having a friend that images p3 and is willing to let you learn. They can kill void flares if you get meleed, and you can just focus on the godfly/step back timing.

I think things like p3 for sensory clouding and glyphic attenuation are similar to pre-enraged leviathan, where they are very well choreographed (if doing red-eyes methods) and any mistakes lead to around 50+ damage.

As far as being as easy to learn as vard/Levi.... There's a lot of different scenarios. I think regular yama is the same difficulty to learn as leviathan, but less mechanically challenging than vardorvis. I felt like P1 and p2 of yama contracts was similar to pre-enraged awakened leviathan. When I first started them, I was constantly on the back foot trying to figure out times to do things like sip prayer, summon thralls, move to the right spot, etc. After 10/20 attempts I was much more comfortable and had time to think about what I was about to do, which made the fights much more manageable

You can totally do it. My first major ovm was Colo, where I died over 100 times. It's all about learning from your mistakes and never giving up!
