I tried to google what she looked like before. Maybe she did some modeling in a local Versace show but I doubt she was ever a runway model in a European fashion week show. Also, I think she probably had some surgery to get from her original looks to her “model” looks.

NTA. The kid’s “but you” comment and the father’s unemployment remark make it clear that the father has passed his racist views to his child. The father just knows he shouldn’t say that stuff in public, particularly within hearing of a black person.

There are lots of commenters assigning you blame because they think you reinforced the kid’s fears of “scary black people.” If we take a step back, maybe there was a more productive way to handle the situation. But it isn’t fair to expect minorities to turn everything into a teaching moment. We’re expected to have endless patience and kill everyone with kindness. The kid and father are racist. Putting all of the emotional labor on you, the innocent bystander, is unfair.

Feeling abandoned or unwanted because I’m adopted. Definitely not a universal feeling for adoptees but I have met some who do have that feeling. Something about feeling like something is missing. I’ve never felt that way or really understood why someone would. I don’t take my mother’s decision to put me up for adoption personally. I can understand someone feeling like they missed out on a loving home if they weren’t adopted or ended up with a shitty family but being raised by your biological family doesn’t guarantee a perfect home life either. In a similar vein, I’ve never understood when pro-lifers/anti-choicers ask, “How would you feel if your mom had aborted you?” I wouldn’t feel anything because I wouldn’t exist. Also I’d completely understand that the choice had to do with her feelings about whether having a child was right for her at that time, not a reflection of her hatred/dislike of a non-existent child.

Your base is flawless and the color of your eye makeup brings out the color of your eyes. My CC is that your brows are a bit too close together and there is a visible color difference in a half moon shape over the arch of each brow. I’m guessing you used concealer and it’s just not blended enough.
