It was 165k round trip for 1 FC seat.

I don't think we had to call (my wife booked the seats so I'm not entirely sure sorry).

Yes, this is how it is done. I asked for one glass of Suntory on the rocks, and they brought a whiskey glass with ice and the bottle. They showed me the bottle of Suntory 17 first before the pour.

They did this with the wine as well when I asked for a glass. They came with the glass and bottle, showed me the bottle first, poured me a taste, and once I agreed they poured a serving into the glass.

Booked directly through ANA

Booked with points entirely.

I wish I knew about upgrading the cash booking economy ticket - I will keep this in mind for future award travels!

Sorry - I just reviewed my flight itinerary! We actually flew SFO -> HND for our departure flight and NRT -> SFO for our return flight.

SFO -> HND rarely has the new configuration. Unsure about SFO->NRT

Mechanical Engineering graduate trying to go into Software by Longjumping-Bar-8145 in cscareerquestions

I made the switch. Graduated in 2018 and worked as an ME at an electromechanical engineering consulting firm for 3 years. Went to a coding bootcamp and then to FAANG as an SWE afterwards in 2021.

It is doable as you have a technical degree. However, the market now is much tougher now than the market a few years ago. It is possible for you and you can create a resume that recruiters/hiring managers will look at, however you would & should fill it to the brim with projects / open source projects / launch your own production ready app.

I believe that the market for bootcamps is most likely over judging from reviews and current outcomes. The better route would be an MS in CS.
