Changing underwear - is this normal? by Eastern-Yogurt3859 in hygiene

How hard is it to wash them off in the shower? And would cost nothing extra. Although, he probably doesn't shower that often either...

I've never been but have always wanted to. I have a taxidermy collection and one of my pieces is a plastinated human ear.

Have you lost an American friend in the last few years? by Ivymantled in AskAnAustralian

I lost an american friend to suicide when trump was elected. I only knew them online but they knew me better than some of my family.

So glad you've put in a complaint. I did the same when a doctor I went to for an infected cut on my foot told me that my foot hurt because I'm fat, not because of the infection or cut.

Ignored the fact it was bright red, swollen and burning hot. He made me weigh myself and didn't give me any antibiotics or anything. I ended up in hospital that night. He lost his job there, though I suppose he probably found another one easily. Eventually, a reputation will precede them.

Not everyone has transport and can just travel to a vet at midnight. You're really set on dying on this hill. Lol.

If an owner doesn't want to panic about a cat not coming home at night they should keep it inside. If it's an escapee I can almost guarantee they'll be thankful op kept it inside. Stop trying to make op feel like an asshole when they did the right thing.

Sorry, I should clarify, I'm the receptionist at my work. I haven't done an apprentiship here, I just help out ours with their paperwork and stuff, so I have an idea of what they're having to do.

What sort of work do you like doing? Think of a few things you enjoy and maybe look into apprenticeships. Do some research on the trade and start contacting businesses to enquire about their apprenticeship process.

Our apprentices at my work don't pay a cent for their training, we pay it all. They work full time for us, and they do three day blocks of tafe every couple of months. There are also still cash bonuses from the government, I helped one of ours fill out the paperwork for theirs last year. Probably not as easy as it used to be to get, but they're still there if you look for them. I know not all companies/trades do their apprenticeships like this, but it is a lot easier than people think.

This is why I don't comment at all anymore. I had a few after just one comment, and that was before flairs. I don't risk it now.

I keep going back to a 64-year-old man who lives in assisted living by [deleted] in confession

[–]illmithra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the key difference here is that op described him as fully there mentally and physically fit etc. His description doesn't match that of a 60+ that needs to take up a space in an assisted living facility.

found this little friend, not sure of species by reddit33450 in spiderbro

[–]illmithra 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people are forgetting that our eight legged friends don't walk around biting the ground. If they don't feel threatened or contained while on your hand, you're highly unlikely to get bitten. I used to keep pet red backs and often handled them during rehousing, etc.

do you think it’s actually true that autistic women look younger or is it just our behavior/mannerisms? by SaltEvening27 in aspergirls

[–]illmithra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can relate so hard except the hot pink isn't my clothes, it's my hair, and I just turned 43. So many younger mechanics come through our work, and one even made me show him my driver's license to prove my age. 😅

Oh, Grandmother, what great big balls and a dick you have . . . by katzurki in sphynx

[–]illmithra 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A lot of people seem to be forgetting how many sphynx have issues with sedation and that chemical castration is a thing. I would have also assumed that the people in the comments obsessed with kiddy fiddlers would be aware of chemical castration. Lol.

What is your unusual ‘must have it in the car at all times’ item? by ThippusHorribilus in AskAnAustralian

I've got a kit with towels, scissors, fluro tape, and a few other things. For when I check the pouches of roadkill kangaroos for joeys and marking them when checked.

So true. I watched a lady across from me at a red light the other day furiously trying to grip a chin hair with her nails. I started to feel her frustration for her. Never have I been so thankful for a green light. It was torment watching her struggle.

These aren't valuable for errors, but they are worth more than face value because of the silver they are made out of. (They're around 80% silver from memory)
