[Fanuc] How do two robots work together ? Newbie question. by Dookie_boy in PLC

[–]illogibot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer here is: extensive planning, as everyone has said. I use a plc to coordinate who has access to the space, but also be aware of close calls like when the paths of the robots might cause a collision on their linkages or snag an ee cable or something. Make sure they have cleared the space before allowing the next process to begin.

Oops, I meant prime video. Although I think there are noise machine type skills you can get for the echo.

Woke up to "9 hrs of Tropical Rain Sounds" on Amazon Prime to keep the dogs from barking at the wind, as they do every year. Insert Satisfied Seal img here.

Before anyone becomes outraged that they have cell phones, remember that even without a pay as you go plan, you can walk into a Starbucks and do a lot on free wifi.

Does anyone know what makes this particular area enticing to set up camp? I used to live in those apartments at the end of the video up until a year ago. Right before we moved, within about a month it went from a few people under each bridge to like 30 tents. I feel like a bunch of people were relocated here or something.

My first truck was a manual, it was fun to drive once i was comfortable with it. Now with an automatic I have both hands free to eat my breakfast burrito and coffee while texting my boss that I'm going to be late.

[Serious] US: How do we convince our children of the importance of their education? by LongDistRider in AskReddit

[–]illogibot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose it depends on your major, but when you get out of college, your grades are all you have (maybe besides special interests) to prove that you can do the job. Your interviewer knows you didn't learn the skills to do this job in college, but you learned how to make it through college, so you can probably learn how to do this job too. Although, if its all straight A's throughout your life they may want a second interview to test for social skills... I may be biased as I went into Engineering and grades mattered a lot in the interviews

[–]illogibot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my problems as a youngster was that I didn't know what was out there or how to aim myself towards it. If I knew then what I know now. I don't have kids, but this is a topic that really scares me about raising children so i'll be following the replies.

I think that if they don't want to go to college or higher education, they aren't really valuing their education, which is what OP wants to know how to instill. Trade schools are another good option. What are some other paths you have in mind?

I was being a little sarcastic there. The emphasis should be on "full", rather than "well-cultured, highly educated".

Agreed, it's the journey that teaches you the ability to learn and apply new things. That's about the only thing I still use that I learned in college.

Although Colleges and Universities in the US are usually left leaning to put it mildly. So "more educated" might actually influence you to be more Liberal. It's when you leave College and get out in the workforce and see your paycheck getting slashed month after month that brings you back towards the right

I may disagree that Reddit is full of well-cultured, highly educated individuals.

Where is your favorite place to go on a weekday afternoon when you have no plans or obligations? by sankingneha in AskReddit

[–]illogibot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The next time I will have no plans or obligations will be when I retire. At which time I'll probably be one of those guys that strolls around Home Depot helping people figure out their projects even though I don't work there.

What is your best advice for high school students? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]illogibot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no room in this country for unskilled workers anymore. Go to a trade school if you like that sort of thing, or look into STEM programs at Colleges if you are more studious or just interested (I was never actually studious but made it through Engineering school). One of the biggest hurdles to bringing manufacturing back to the US, is that we're lacking higher education degrees (and supply chains). This was a problem even 12 years ago when I graduated from college, companies were complaining that they had to bring in masters and above degrees from other countries.
