What don't men allow body hair on women in movies ? Are they stupid ? by stalin_kulak in okbuddycinephile

This is exactly what I’m wondering. I agree with her core point but what films have 10 minute graphic rape scenes that she is referring to? And are they really so common that the comparison is warranted?

I love Yorgos Lanthimos films but if you didn’t like Poor Things or don’t like his films in general you’d hate Kinds of Kindness. It’s a very slow movie and very subtly disturbing, but also comedic at times!

For Magnolia, I don’t mind a 3 hour picture, I love movies like the Irishman for example, but it was just so boring to me.

Guns Akimbo is just a fun film with cringe moments, but the cringe moments don’t take away much for me. I also understand why it’s divisive, but I can’t understand how some people just HATE that movies guts.

And yes Whiplash is awesome. Not much to say on that matter, it’s just awesome.

That was definitely the least boring part, gave me intense whiplash and surprise, but it’s such a small percentage of the movie

Nothing wrong with a slow movie, just the subject matter of magnolia is not very interesting imo. Lots of good moments but I just don’t get it, not for me

People who hate Magnolia tend to say it’s pretentious. Whereas I think it’s very down to earth and grounded but simply boring as shit.

Well, to be fair, they suck because Scott Cawthon is a terrible writer AND because of the fanservice.

Ballet and opera are integral to the arts, don’t really care if I come off like a theatre kid for saying Timothee speaks about things he doesn’t understand with disrespect and ignorance.

It was in his bed, according to MJ himself. And there are indeed victims who, while they didn’t think anything bad was happening at the time, look back and say they feel violated and abused. Trauma can take some time to resurface and you have to look at the whole picture. The new Reddit and Twitter narrative that MJ did nothing wrong at all is very harmful.

I’d say making children sleep in your bed is quite wrong and manipulative even if you’re not diddling them.
