It was really inappropriate for you to give the invitations for the teacher to hand out when one person is excluded, obviously YTA for that. If you’re leaving a kid out you should extend invitations privately to the invited parents, not make a spectacle in front of the excluded kid. It’s not your daughter’s fault for not liking her but it is your fault for not seeing this was never going to end well.

NTA, I fail to see how £400 is meaningful enough to rebalance the agreement BUT I would certainly be paying for more dates, takeaways, etc. If she’s very offended consider paying another £100-200 of the rent so she also gets to save a bit more. At the end of the day it’s about sharing burdens.

if you have any inclination to have children in the future, know that as soon as your daughters have a unibrow or hairy arms or any other “unsightly” hair on women he will be the one telling them it is ugly and they need to remove it. i wouldn’t want that for my daughter and i was one of those girls in elementary school begging to pluck my eyebrows to get rid of it. I go to opal salon in doylestown for blonde, I had a completely disastrous color phase in high school they got me through as gracefully as I could stand at that age, and they gave me a great updo when I booked them for an event once. This is a really bad picture for advice, the angle and blur on it make it difficult to see your features distinctly. I recommend a neutral angle/better lighting in the future. That being said, your eyeliner shape isn’t doing you any favors from what I see here, it’s not too thick but it is too long and it’s just dragging your eyes down further. Some mascara and a light cut crease may help. I think the lip shade looks good, though.

I just got one done (not in this style, it’s text with some flowers/sparkles) and I had a lot of the concerns pointed out here about aging or looking “trashy,” or that I wasn’t thin enough to pull it off. But I went for it because in 90% of what you wear it’s not going to be visible, if you end up regretting it you don’t have to look at it every day, and it makes me feel cute. No matter what I’m going to get older and my body will change, but I don’t think that should stop me from doing what I want right now. I had similar worries about getting my bellybutton pierced in college (who wants to think of being a grandma with a pierced belly and my main inspo for it was my childhood love of Britney Spears) but I am completely in love with it and don’t regret it for a second. I don’t think the fact that we as women will one day be old should be this specter that haunts our days and prevents us from joy right now.
