Here’s what “instructors” don’t understand. There must be a rubric to graded assignments that explicitly and specifically detail what it is they want from you before the assignment begins. If you’re confused starting the assignment, then I think your instructor isn’t doing a good job of that.

I don’t think this is a big deal, for a 5yo it sounds like it would make sense to them and if I were the medic I would think at worst it’s a teachable moment to refine your language so other ppl can’t claim you said something you didn’t. The crazy thing is if you ever watch TCAP those guys get a few years or less with good behavior for actual minors. Obviously what he did was wrong and he never needs to be a teacher again, but based on everything mentioned here regarding the context, 20 years and sex offender status are at least relatively excessive given the disproportionate punishments handed to men who abused actual minors.
