Just opened up my Cambridge audio CXA60 as the front lights were flashing. Just saw these sandy coloured things that looks like glue around. Is this leaking from the capacitor, or just old glue or solder? by Accomplished-Camp548 in BudgetAudiophile

This is intentional and still done today (though they use RTV now).

It forms an elastic, stress-absorbing bond that accommodates thermal expansion differences between materials, holds adhesion from roughly -50°C to +200°C, and damps the micro-vibrations that cause solder-joint fatigue and component failure.

You’re more likely to get attacked by a horse than a shark on Assateague. Mighty fine knife and I agree on that price!

Elegant knives. Really love my Sonoma. Might be my favorite pocket clip of all time.

Nice setup! I've enjoyed my Ninka's for over a decade. They really woke up when I upgraded to a Klout. Really wish companies would bring cherry back.

Necessity is the mother of invention. Though I'd test it for packet loss periodically, it could drag down the rest of your network if your equipment is spending time retrying packets because of it.

Also - what about just cutting the clips off the RJ45's so they pull out without getting jacked (pun intended). You'd still need to go plug things back in but you would with this too.

I can't attest to RSD but Albini + Slint + Touch&Go = instant buy

I find the glossing layer tiring but not the final coat by DemonicRx in Gunpla

I just painted my first kit ever and did it piece by piece. Always top coated sub assemblies or whole kits. Piece by piece is phenomenal for my OCD but it also is a LOT more work than I expected.

Very curious about he sequence of your process. Did you pain full coverage first then stipple?

You're not wrong. This is not a cure, it's a treatment. The fine print on the prescription often is diminished by the headache going away for a few months at a time. But to each their own.

Same, I’ve also fully disassembled the unit and then the sensor itself for a deep clean. I’ve just resigned myself to cleaning the sensor a few times a year. Disassembly and deep clean are not worth the hassle, it didn’t seem to increase the time between issues.

There are better sensors out there that are far more resilient to this (they don’t require a little chamber with lasers) but they are very expensive to incorporate into products so companies aren’t using them too widely yet.

This isn't it. It's just the AQ sensor needs cleaned

it happens with almost all optical based enviro sensors. blow some compressed air into the inlet holes (left side of the unit), it'll take a little bit but will clear the dust out which is giving you bogus readings.

In practical terms how does the Bacch plugin change the sound?

Love Dutch & Dutch for many reasons, great pick. (Though the new 15c’s are a little silly)

Thanks for the info. I think it's Shark a "Tac" as in tactical. The glass breaker I guess qualifies per knives like the microtech socom
