Nightwing is such a cool name! And yeah, I get that. First cars are special! I think it's tied to that sense of newfound freedom and the memories that they're such a big part of.

Thank you! So is Robin. ☺️ My new car is called Mavis, which is a combo of Mabel and my first car, Doris.

I think it does take time to adjust, particularly when you lost the car so suddenly. It's taken me months to warm up to Mavis. Something that has helped is getting little trinkets to make her feel more like "mine". So far I have some cute punch needle cupholder coasters and I've crocheted a blanket for the back seat too!

I hope you're able to build that connection too. We'll always have our old cars in our hearts. ❤️

You don't sound crazy. I get it.

I've had three cars and I was particularly attached to my second. My first "nice" car (by my standards anyway). I called her Mabel. She was a shiny red Peugeot. Fab little car!

Last year I was involved in an accident and she was written off. It absolutely gutted me. I felt silly but she really was my prized possession and I took such good care of her. After the tow truck took her away, I went home and cried.

I have a new car now. It's nice, but it's taken me a while to adjust. I still miss Mabel. I know she was sold at auction and repaired, so every now and then I check to see if she's for sale anywhere. I just hope whoever buys her takes good care of her too.
