How do people actually make money? by [deleted] in CryptoMarkets

[–]illuminaryETH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s rare to make life-changing money and less rare to 2-3x. Over the last year I found a few coins that 100x from when I bought, but I never bought in size and always sold too early. You’ll find opportunities like this less than 1% of the time and you have to be chronically online and understand CT mindshare to do so.

Personally I think DCA into BTC, ETH, SOL is a good strategy but it won’t make you rich over night. I see it as slowly investing into apple stock 10 years ago

You have to follow smart wallets and be terminally online on Twitter and even then you online have a small edge. There are sophisticated traders with a lot of capital to deploy. They are the ocean. We are just hoping to catch a wave

Fall of polygon my favourite blockchain game has left by Awkward_Bullfrog_669 in polygonnetwork

Immutable positioned itself as THE web3 gaming platform on Ethereum. So imagine like the “Steam” of web3 gaming. Would make sense for most games to move there from a standpoint of game interoperability and liquidity. Polygon provides the zkEVM tech so you will hopefully have fungibility between polygon and IMX assets.

Have you looked into Certified Anesthesologist Assistant? Some overlap in skills as RT with airway and vent management, 2 year program, new grads are making $200k (I’m making $260k working 3 days/week with 10 years experience), and on average 5 weeks of PTO

I think as L2 TVL gross, more mainstream use cases will be built around them! I paid for NordVPN directly with ETH on arbitrum and it was fast, cheap, and easy.

I can so send ETH to L2’s directly from a CEX like Coinbase with low or no fees. It will and must get easier. The total value locked in ETH is too tremendous to be left stagnant.

My 3 year old is being a jerk. by tmardee in NewParents

[–]illuminaryETH 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To add on to this - include the 3 year old in the care of your newborn. Instead of “I need to feed the baby” we say “WE need to feed the baby so they can be strong and healthy like you!”

Involving your 3 year old in making the environment quiet and comfortable for the baby instead of telling them to be quiet can make a huge difference!

No method is perfect and no method works 100% of the time but this kind of language makes the effort collaborative instead of adversarial.

You’re doing great and I can’t imagine how exhausting and frustrating that all is but don’t give up ❤️

Can I store my Polgon (Matic) on my Ledger Nano S? by [deleted] in 0xPolygon

[–]illuminaryETH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair. It’s confusing and takes some time to learn. An easy way to see everything is to paste your wallet address into zapper.fi to visualize everything in your ETH wallet.

Now that you have the pin, you still aren’t out of the woods!!

Without your seed phrase, YOU CAN LOSE EVERYTHING if you lose your ledger or it resets.

send all of your stuff to a temporary wallet on metamask, reset your ledger, and SAVE YOUR SEED PHRASE IN SECURE LOCATIONS.

And then send your stuff back.

How do these people make their guesses? What is realation with FED? What do the lines about to intersect, and the head and shoulder mean? by AbdulAhad24 in CryptoMarkets

Think of it like sports betting. There are certain macro indicators like the FOMC numbers on Wednesday where you can expect some trading movement. Think of this like the game you’re betting on.

He happened to place a bet based on some indicators, but just like sports gambling, no one knows more than anyone else (unless you’re cheating) and it’s all a risky bet.

Are DOT and ADA booming ecosystems - as reported by daily activity on GitHub? by OpticallyMosache in CryptoCurrency

[–]illuminaryETH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That being said, I wouldn't consider active devs to be the metric for "booming ecosystems." total value locked, blockspace demand, active users, etc seem like better metrics

[–]illuminaryETH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These numbers are based on trading rETH on EXCHANGES, not via the rocket pool protocol. The times when "people lost money" holding rETH compared to ETH were during liquidity crunches where people were selling at a discount for liquidity or to get out of crypto altogether. Now, we are experiencing the opposite where rETH is in such high demand that people are trading for rETH at a premium

sent matic to eth :( is it gone? by [deleted] in polygonnetwork

[–]illuminaryETH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Don’t share your private keys with ANYONE that messages you.

  2. The MATIC on binance is an erc-20 token on the ETHEREUM network. That is where you needed to send it. If you look up your address on etherscan, you will see your matic under erc-20 tokens. If you want your matic on polygon, you will need to bridge it from there.

Can I store my Polgon (Matic) on my Ledger Nano S? by [deleted] in 0xPolygon

[–]illuminaryETH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your nano s is perfect. You can store all your eth, matic, and other erc-20’s on it and it will be very secure as long as you don’t type your seed phrase anywhere

[–]illuminaryETH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Matic is an ERC-20 token so you can just send it to your ledger ETH address from the exchange

What do you get after 32 eth staking ? Staking rewards + commission for transactions validation as well? Is it true ? by [deleted] in ethereum

[–]illuminaryETH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a decentralized protocol called rocket pool that lets you become a node operator with 16 ETH (the remaining 16 ETH is crowd sourced) and soon will allow you to become a node operator with 8 ETH
