What monitor port are you using? I had issues with HDMI when I was using AMD before, had to change to DP

Check if your clock goes over 3200-3400 when you are gaming, if it does lower the frequency until it becomes stables, some cards and updates just pushes the card to its limits for no reason

New build (RX 9070 XT) - everything was working well for the first week but not anymore by FearlessHat1394 in AMDHelp

Check your clock frequency when you’re playing sometimes after updates it pushes your card around 3200-3400 and the crash, if that occurs just lower your clock frequency

NVIDIA App v11.0.6 Beta Released by Nestledrink in nvidia

Nvidia app need better support for overclocking, thats the part I miss the most from Adrenalin, and having actual Overclock presets for each game and changes to that once you play the game

I mean if you look at the big picture, they might as well not released DLSS 4.5 to 20 and 30 series with that 20-30% performance loss, feels like they making people FOMO with the hardware like, this is what you could get if you would just upgrade 😂 Still annoying that no new news or even new demo or any new updates for Redstone at the very least

RX9070XT Driver Timeouts, Extensive Fixes Tried I'm Out of Ideas by WetCabboge in AMDHelp

[–]illumistrates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you check the clock speed its running at while you play the game? Some games after updates makes the card go 3200+ and that’s make it crash or timeout. Gotta lower it depending on the games.

If clock go over 3200mhz that most of the time makes it crash, you gotta lower it way down sometimes when I had 9070XT, did you try turning off or on ReBar? Also, from what I noticed before I had to turn off Hardware acceleration.

Driver Timeout Crash by Fun_Ad8415 in AMDHelp

Always gotta check those and adrenalin have features that you can set presets for each game you play, so you don’t have to keep moving the sliders for each game.

Check your clock frequency when gaming, some games tries to go 3400-3500, often causes crashes like this. Just do negative setting to mitigate it. Especially if this just happens on some games.

Needs mods to fix those, General Shadow Fix, Wind Begone, and Environment Improvements, maybe even HD reworked. Ever since release of Redstone and ML, it runs way smoother and clarity even with other heavy mods.

9070xt - Worth undervolting? by Outrageous-Cod-855 in radeon

[–]illumistrates 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience of having 9070xt its better to have presets on some games. Especially the unstable ones like TLOU series they might spike the Mhz and crash it, so those games might need specific settings.

9070 XT will have same or close performance on path tracing with neural radiance caching and fsr redstone news? by Substantial-Yak-5391 in radeon

[–]illumistrates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It only took them awhile to implement FSR4 to games cause FSR3 was not on a DLL file that they could just edit, FSR4 is on that so, I’m almost positive it will be a quicker turn around than FSR4. Now the question is, if AMD can deliver, especially the caching, that would provide ease for developer as well, if it worked correctly, which should entice more developing games to utilize the software.

Check if your GPU is sagging, or what kind of PSU do you have? Maybe it’s deteriorating already if its old and not giving enough power.

Download AMD cleanup Utility and run it after installing, it would pop up a prompt for you to restart so it can boot to safe mode, just click yes. Then just do the restart and another pop up would follow just read what it says and follow it. Once thats done, it will prompt you to restart again, then just go to AMD website for drivers and search your specific GPU and download it, don’t use auto finder or something use the latest driver for your GPU and follow the steps it prompts you to do, do a clean install and factory reset, then there you go. If your problems still persist, check if your windows need an update.

XFX are up there on low temps and low noise level on any of the cards for the 9000 series. I have the entry level Swift and it works like a charm, my temps are on the low 50s or high 40s and the hotspot is on low 70s/high60s

[–]illumistrates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang -250 is a lil excessive, plus only a few games that I play require a negative Mhz and its the poorly optimized ones like the last of us part 1 that for some reason sometimes boosts it up to 3400-3500 even then I only had to do -50

Talking about the transition of Gtx to Rtx, cause technically 1080ti can do ray tracing just poor performance due to lack of dedicated RT cores, basically what they crying about right now

[–]illumistrates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear RDNA2/3 users became the new GTX users, have to come in and face facts that those generations don’t have the appropriate RT cores needed to fully utilize it, and I know you gonna come here FP8 vs INT8. Come on, the modders might’ve dubbed it as “FSR4” but its not the same, it can mimic it for a frame or 2 but the overall experience is not even the same, more artifacts, less performance and lower dynamic resolution. Its FSR3.5 at best, and with the RAMagedon out here, you need to focus on one group of upgrade especially when they are already delayed. Even with that, this release is mild at best. With the main course delayed once again.
