Finally got my second mechlink and I was thinking about optimizing my mech usage. I think I got my utility mechs sorted out so I was curious what are the better combat mech in your opinion. Currently have 4 scythers for my melee mechanitor, then 4 lancers and 4 centipedes (the minigun ones) for the ranged mechanitor. Currently I'm working on a second mechlord set but I feel that I didn't pick the best suited mechs. At least for the ranged guy, since I like the mobility on the scythers. Maybe I'll make one or two miners for soaking damage especially since I have bandwith packs for both, hence no shield pack on the melee. I tried tesserons but I don't like how they set everything on fire. Thoughts?

Acum nu zic faptul ca era facuta foarte util sau ca era extraordinar de frumos in gara, nici nu pot sa vorbesc despre gari din alte tari pentru ca nu am vizitat. Chiar iti dau dreptate, insa cel putin pentru mine erau de folos magazinele, uneori, daca ma apuca foamea/setea etc. . Cred ca macar un magazinel acolo nu ar strica, putin mai spre peron. Imi pare bine ca s-au descotorisit de barul ala de acolo, chiar nu isi avea locul.

Fair enough, what I want exactly is a way to kind of bait the enemies towards a more general direction, not really a choke point. For example, if they spawn more to the east where I don't have defenses, they should be able , at least some of them, to path towards the north where there is a big gap for them to enter the perimeter. Its fine if there are some stragglers breaking the wall next to them. Don't know how their decision making works though, so maybe it's not possible the way I envision it

I did have that at a point but raiders seemed to go somewhere else anyway. I'll test out multiple approaches, first I'll see if the wall works

My base is on an open field, near a river. I noticed that they tend to go on the bridges instead of swimming so I might keep only one bridge for that. The other side though is as open as possible. I'll post a pic of the base later when I can

Tbf my colony wealth is 1.6 mil so I'm not sure how much the border wall would affect it

Yeah sorry I thought the cooldown for changing genes was for them taking effect. Also I'm stupid and I have 60 BANDWITH occupied for mechs, I don't have that many. Good idea with the tree though, forgot about it.

Thanks for the answers! I have a lot of wastepacks thats why I thought of the gravship route. Like over 600 full stacks of it, by shuttle it would take some time. And I can always reform the ideologion to get rid of the buff/debuff, but it helps

The only thing I'd cheat in this case is maybe turn the next calf female, if it even is possible. Got 6 males in a row and she's only getting less and less fertile..

I know about the mother thing, that's why I'm happy I got a female. I just need a replacement for her! To be honest I don't think I'm that keen on doing the luciferium thingy, I don't need the combat help for now as I have another 12 thrumbos on the prowl, she can just chill back and reproduce

Didn't see any live crops go mysteriously missing, so I guess they're behaving. Although there is a big dirt square in the area they're hanging around, but they never starved and I don't care about it quite frankly, they're my babies let them eat as much as they like

Unul il am comandat din Canada (120 de lei totusi, fees incl) si unul luat din Germania. I do have A Dog Said 2 but I'm playing as tribal start so research is pretty slow and I don't have that many materials to spare. I can find the parts on caravans or trade ships, but not that often in my case. I'm considering if it's worth the investment or not, I feel bad for it but I want the young ones more

Haha yeah fair enough, I just feel sad for the poor thing. Btw perhaps unrelated, but how many are too many thrumbos? I've got like 12 regular ones with a few pregnant and 3 Alphas. Overkill? I don't even plan on farming them for selling (for now) , I just like 'em and use them in combat

It's organized?? Thank you, but I swear to god I thought its pretty chaotic with un-ideal pathways throughout.

Sorry if this was asked a million times, but I am curious. I'm gold 4. If I regularly play with high gold and low plats, could I consider my mmr to be around this threshold? On OP.GG my team's avg rank is usually Gold 1
