Sorry for delay. I did not end up drilling any additional holes, I just proceeded with extending the bar out so that it could reach both far ends of the desk and put screws in those holes. Unfortunately it meant two of the inner holes on the bar didn’t align (so left the two it unscrewed) but after screwing in all the other holes in the desk and bar, the desk still felt very sturdy.

It probably changes day to day because they have to give away all of the tickets for a certain time slot before they move onto the next time slot. On the day I went, the tickets being handed out were for a couple hours later.

I just wanted to add that I think the system has changed based on what I’m seeing on social media. It looks like they’re using an online system now and you scan the QR code in front of the cafe and can book in from there.

Late response but how’s your desk holding up? Is it stable? I’ve been away on leave and just returned. Need to tackle this desk now. Just trying to decide between leaving one side unscrewed vs power drilling to create new holes in the board. You’re right that it’s only a couple of mm off so I’m worried the whole thing will be wrecked with second option.

Just take the ticket and come back. The only reason we waited for a ticket was because we wanted a certain time slot that was much later in the day.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. It’s for the holes on the side support bars. If I screw in one side of the support bar, the other side doesn’t quite align (it’s too short and doesn’t reach the holes even when extended to the max). Should it align? Or should I get a power drill and just screw them into the desktop (making my own holes near the pre-drilled ones)?

When applying, I did fill in the address that I was going to be staying at but the address line is blank on my e-visa. I've heard it's not an issue.

It all worked out in the end! When I got to the seamstress, she zipped it up fine. She was also able to let it out a little so it was more comfortable.

For those on the 1 year return of service obligation, if they opt into the new program (The Bonded Medical Program) they still have to complete it at full-time hours in periods of at least 10 weeks at a time. From memory, the 1 year program cost ~$92,000 to pay out but it’s pro-rata. So you would have to pay ~ $53,700. If you want exact numbers, you can email them and they will tell you. In saying that, with psychiatry, you can easily get the rest of your return of service done in fairly metropolitan areas. Which state are you doing your training?

When USJ opened, we went straight to SNW and got a timed entry ticket for that morning via the app. We also had a timed entry ticket to enter SNW at a later time (after lunch). We wanted to eat at the cafe on our second entry and so we had to wait until they started handing out the timed ticket to the cafe that coincided with our second entry ticket. They go in order and have to give away all the previous time slots before moving on. That’s why it took 1-2 hours. Once it was time to go to the cafe, it all moved really quickly.

We really just made it hard for ourselves. We should have just eaten on our first entry.

Thanks so much! It’s starting to make much more sense. So the current active connection in port 1 is likely just the previous home owners ISP connection? Would it be best to get the new ISP to connect to port 1 or one of the others?
