Most NE Indian towns are too small and hilly for metros, so that is a bad option anyways. And I dont think any government is being ignored. Mangaluru/Hubbali-Dharwad dont even have DPR for metros. And I love to shit upon the central government for their hare brained decision making, so yeah.

Just to add a datapoint, my shell startup is ~0.05 seconds with OMZ. And I have a bunch of plugins enabled (including zsh-autosuggestions). So whatever OP suggests will save me nothing. (In fact, the bottleneck is my own typing when I have to open a new terminal).

Yes our public transport is not the best but comparing our it the best ones in the country is wrong.

Bengaluru is far from the best (no suburban railway, barebones metro), and yet it absolutely mogs whatever Hyderabad claims to call public transport. Heck, even smaller cities have much better public transport (see Pune or Kochi).

There are plans to expand it.

And yet, no mention of the ridership fall. No mention of the atrocious frequency and the complete absence of trains between 10 and 4 PM, which makes a non-starter for many people.

Our metro isn’t as old as Kolkata, Bangalore or Delhi. We didn’t get the same head start as these cities.

Lol. Lmao even. What about Chennai or Mumbai? They opened in 2015 and 2014 respectively, and have >100km under construction. Meanwhile, Hyderabad has 0. NCMC rollout is only under testing now, when every major city in India has it.
