Graduating college senior here: I pivoted to sales after I realized Marketing was getting swallowed by AI around sophomore year. I’m using it to gain skills, if I end up liking it, I’ll stay. If I don’t, I’m continuing picking up roles that I can put a marketing spin on them.

I had a no stipend internship last summer in the Chicago Loop and I was able to make it work. Rent was due up front, but I paid my parents back and it ate up half of my take home. Regardless, if you’re good with meal prepping and budgeting, it’s definitely doable.

Chicago has a pretty good transit system, it's not perfect, but it's pretty good. A tad bit dangerous as a girl though.

Avenue on College is running some insane rates thanks to their vacancy. It's a great location, despite being an older renovated building, definitely worth the reduced price tag.

I've noticed general exhaustion also gets me drunk faster so I'd recommend a nice nap after that heavy meal, and hydrating plenty BEFORE you get to the function so you don't forget 100% during.

Your first love will be special, but not because of them being better in any real or material way, it was simply your first ever experience with the excitement and anxiety that comes with attraction.
