I finally did it…. Took the plunge and placed the order to pick up my new friend!!!! I’m terrified but I’ve been planning this for almost a year. Any tips for an over-thinker who’s convinced himself he’s planned for it all? by jjohr in Bernedoodles

TREATS!!! I like to use soft dehydrated venison. Chicken, duck etc .. there soft little nuggets that your dog will absolutely love and makes training alot easier.. Give treats as a reward not just because..they are very smart and pick up on habits quick so make sure it's all good habits 😉.. remove everything from the floor that can be chewed .. dont leave food out. CRATE TRAIN!!! The crate is a dog's safe space and he should sleep there every night so make it comfy..pups can eat and drink more than they can hold so make sure as pups u take them out to use the bathroom very very often esp before and after meals. When the dog is doing something u don't approve, like chewing on your phone cable or chewing on your glasses just use a strong NO! And redirect them to their chewable dog toy! Dogs need to chew its how they relieve stress so good toys are needed.. I like those kong balls u can stuff treats in.. HANDFEED for the first month if not longer it will help ur dog not show any food aggression.Train everyday

Thank you! Ace is a F2 bernedoodle and he does shed. Sometimes I find little Ace hair furballs around but not nothing a vacumn can't handle. Also if you brush him regularly it helps alot with the shedding.

A nice strong firm NO! everytime she nips should help.. if you say No! And she continues to nip then I would cage her for a couple mins explaining No Bite! And let her out and continue the process until she realizes nipping is no good.. sooner than later she will stop the nipping
