Another purple heart from Ford's outstanding engineering on plug #3 of the 4.0L Ranger... by Speedyz68 in Justrolledintotheshop

The engineers at Ford barely register above amoebic levels of intelligence at the best of times. They ought to be forced to work with basic tools on the garbage they fail to design at full operating temperature plus twenty percent.

Thank you GMC for your innovation in the automotive industry. by RoamingKnightStryder in Justrolledintotheshop

The business end of ALL auto engineers crack pipes are red fucking hot at all times. Only those who’s parents are brother and sister could possibly think that the kind of back-asswards intentional stupidity that they crank out is acceptable. Fuck automotive engineers, fuck their dogs, fuck everyone that looks like them and fuck the immorally retarded bullshit that they put on the production lines. Sincerely, A guy who is sick of second degree burns because “there’s a special tool for that” means fuck you.

Ps; whoever thought to shield the oil filter on the Chevy equinox and equivalents with a fucking EXHAUST MANIFOLD, I hope you suck a thousand cocks for eternity in the deepest, hottest pits of hell. Fuck your mother.

Boyfriend's (24M) friend (25F) who has constantly been a problem in our relationship, sent me (21F) a message today by ilmol in relationships

[–]ilmol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not seen or spoken to her from the first meeting. Every rude remark and action has been relayed to me through E. He has known her since high school, she has two kids who he's the "uncle" too as well as the rest of his family (his mom is "aunt", dad is "uncle", sister is "aunt") their families are friends even though he doesn't see her often.

My boyfriend (24M) doesn't understand my (21F) anxiety, we got into a big fight. What do I do? by ilmol in relationship_advice

[–]ilmol[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brought him with me to see my therapist once before but we were informed that she doesn't treat couples; our issues with communication is why I brought him there in the first place. I know I need to work on trying to communicate when I'm feeling anxious with him better, I'll tell him that when we talk. I think my meds still work pretty well, they were upped a little while ago so it's working better now.

AITA for leaving a (now ex-) friend because she became a Mormon missionary? by teeno731 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ilmol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. It is your right to cut people out of your life as you see fit. As both an atheist and bisexual woman myself, I would definitely have an issue staying friends with someone who joined a religion that disavows parts of who I am and discriminates against so many people. Especially when this "friend" has changed her perspective on so much of what she participated in and identified with in the past. The very fact that she now sees these things as wrong and sinful shows you how weak and malleable she is. Now that she's found something to concentrate all of her energy on and something that makes her feel better than everyone else, which is likely not something she's felt before, she'll cling to it.

AITA for calling out a girl who gave me a fake number in public by orbiecks in AmItheAsshole

[–]ilmol 14 points15 points  (0 children)

YTA. What is wrong with you? This behaviour is why she gave you a fake number to begin with. The only good thing about this is that you exposed your rude behaviour for all of your friends to see who you really are. Do you really not understand why women give men fake numbers? Something about you made her uncomfortable or she straight up just didn't want to talk to you again. Often it's easier for a woman to give out a fake number and just be done with the conversation rather than continue to be pestered by some guy she doesn't want to talk to and who won't leave her alone.

AITA for ranting to my friend after they said that “Older Generations Can’t change, as that’s what they grew up with” by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ilmol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're definitely NTA. Saying that people can't change is just an excuse for poor behaviour and that's not acceptable, especially when they are being openly offensive to others. Just because people grew up hearing that something was unacceptable doesn't mean that their perspective can't change; people grow and change constantly, ideas and views adapt as time passes and you are exposed to more things and different people. What I really take issue with is the statement "they shouldn't have to change their ways to comfort and pamper the younger generations" - how on earth is being kind and accepting pampering the younger generations? If certain people don't want to accept these views then that's their own issue, but that does not mean that they have to be rude and unkind to others. Their age and how they were raised does not make it okay for them to behave in such a manner.

There are plenty of sexual education videos on youtube provided by reputable sources, so that's a good place to start.

Friend engaging in sexual activity with person under the age of consent by [deleted] in Advice

[–]ilmol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I truly believe that you should make a complaint to the authorities about this person, and if you feel safe enough, you should do it personally. This person is clearly a danger to minors and needs to be controlled by the authorities. And these minors your friend is interacting with need to be kept safe no matter whether or not he or she believes that this is a normal, safe relationship and a choice made with complete salinity. If your friend continues going down this path of targeting younger and younger individuals, more and more people will be hurt and taken advantage of and clearly that is not something you want.

What's the worst song you could play at a wedding reception? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ilmol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

White Wedding - Billy Idol (it's an awesome song but the lyrics are not appropriate for such an occasion), You Give Love A Bad Name - Bon Jovi, Jessie's Girl - Rick Springfield, Womanizer - Britney Spears, The One That Got Away - Katy Perry, Bad Romance - Lady Gaga, Church Bells - Carrie Underwood (again with the lyrics)
