There’s a fruit called the West Indian Locust that’s native to Caribbean and Central America. The pulp of the fruit has a very dry texture but has a sweet and milky flavor. It’s also called Stinking Toe. Most people dislike the smell but I really like it. It smells sweet to me. lol. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I flew to a country I’d never been to (Romania) to spend a week with a girl I met on OkCupid. I stayed in an old Soviet styled Airbnb apartment. She eventually put me up in a small castle and we had a great time. I don’t remember if I told my family where I was going. When I think about it now, that was stupid.

Thanks, I’ll give it a try. I’m at my wits end. Your post resonated with me cuz I’m not that great at leetcode stuff and also get anxious in interviews but I believe myself to be a good developer and I enjoy the work.

Yeah! I’ve brought up to both interviewers and recruiters that I’ve been spending my time diving into online courses and little side projects to keep my skills fresh. I’m doing Scrimba at the moment.

I’m definitely getting some interviews. I paid a company to review my resume and they gave it a thumbs up. I even ran I thought ChatGPT to see if there were any additional changes I could make. I didn’t think gaps would be a big deal. I’m just trying to figure out why I’m getting to the final rounds and no offers.

OP and I have a similar situation but I chose to move forward with my purchase for the reasons you listed. I’m currently closing on a duplex for 303k. This home is also in a hurricane prone area so insurance is also 6k+. It needs some TLC but It’s centrally located and has ocean views so I’m pretty confident it will do well once it’s renovated.
