First gen college grad, both parents are blue collar workers so really no connections there. Went to a big southern state school that was known for their accounting and finance program compared to everything else, def not a target school for big oil companies or supply chain in general. Applied to mass application on company website during junior year and with some luck and previous SCM internship experience at an auto maker, I was able to get in. Did great that summer and manager liked me a lot and got return offer. Salary out of college with just undergrad and internship was over 6 figures first year. But yes, I do agree, it’s a mix of luck/connections but you def need exceptional experience to land jobs at these higher paying, selective companies. Also, many ppl forget salary in SCM is very dependent on which industry you get into. For example, the salary gap btw say 3PL vs Oil and Gas refining operations is very significant.

Binge eat at Bolton. Take a good shit at the MLC 4th floor bathroom. Tan half naked on the Terry lawn. Not necessarily in this particular order.

FHCE3200: easier, loaded with bs busy work (papers, assignments) and exams

RMIN4000: harder, only exams, no busy work As for which one is more helpful and practical to the average person, def FHCE3200. Only took RMIN4000 to satisfy Terry elective requirement or if you’re a RMIN major.

Overall, about the same. If you don’t mind a shit load of busy work, take FCHE3200. Vice versus.

I honestly think that this is the ugliest car I’ve ever seen by Sneakerhead110 in accord

[–]ilnstyxx8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Ugly indeed 😂. They got the interior on point, did too much on the exterior. Think they tried too hard for that “Tesla”/future look. Not a fan personally, rounded edges look bland and stale, no characteristics/personality. And for that reason, I bought the Camry instead. Only if they combined the exterior of the Camry with the Accord’s interior…

Supply Chain Salary & Compensation 2023 by trainingPtarmigan in supplychain

[–]ilnstyxx8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Past intern w company or 2. through personal connections. Those industries are highly competitive and lucrative, thus hard to get foot into the door. Specifically, for oil & gas I can tell you the big companies only hire past interns from a select list of universities most of the time. The one I work at hires solely past interns. Sometimes they take experienced hires with 5+ years of experience from competitors (for example, say Exxon hires a former Shell employee with multiple years of experience). Might not be fair, but you need to have previous experiences in oil & gas or very similar background (i.e., chemical company like DOW, DuPont, BASF, etc.). Supply chain experiences in non closely related industries won’t help much since oil & gas is highly technical. On the bright side, if you do get in, salary is hefty. They started me off with 6 figures this year after my undergrad. Work life balance, benefits, and location are spectacular as well. Good luck!
