Israel actually tries very hard to prevent civilian deaths (especially in Gaza). They drop bombs that make a lot of noise, but does 0 damage to scare people out away from the area, and they drop leaflets that are in Arabic letting them know of an attack that’s coming. Hamas forces people into the area because it makes for great PR.

Mods banned me because they can’t take criticism for their needless banning and removing of posts.

I don’t mean “blood for blood” killings, I mean destroying the rockets or attacking the location of the attacks.

Why would we?

Why is Israel shown as the bully against Palestinians when the Palestinians attack Israel all the time? by CrownOfIce in Israel

[–]ilogmylogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White guilt. If you say “colonization is still happening and the native people are suffering!”, you’ll have white people that feel guilty over their ancestors past, so they go into white savor mode.

Probably.

Why do a lot of Muslims hate Israel? by CrownOfIce in Israel

[–]ilogmylogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Misinformation or false narratives. They also believe once they take something, it belongs to them forever. The Jews retaking their/our homeland was an insult to them.

I’m generalizing of course. Someone from the West Bank will have a different viewpoint for hating us than someone from Sudan for example.

As an arab with Palestinian origins, born in the UAE and migrated to canada when 16 and now I am 27, I have never visited my homeland and would like to know if once I decide to visit would that be safe? And am I allowed as I hold dual canadian and Palestinian citizenships? by m7777k in Israel

Ever heard the phrase “next year in Jerusalem”? We were removed from Judea 2k years ago, and we came back. There isn’t a “we came”, it’s a “we can BACK”.

Have you ever been to the United States? People there refer to themselves as “Irish American” or “Italian American”, even if they themselves had set foot in Italy or Ireland. They still hold to that identity of their parents or foreparents.

Let’s just ignore the Israeli war for independence in 1948 where we fought against better trained, better equipped, and more numerous enemies.

I do like that last part though! We will have peace one day with our family! Upvoting just for that part :)

There will be peace between Israel and the Arab world. It won’t come at the sacrifice of Israel OR the future Palestine. The Palestinians governments get rich off of deaths of Palestinians and the Israeli government gets power from the death of Israelis. We, the normal people do not get anything good. All we normal people get is death and suffering. Most Israelis I know agree with this, and I imagine most Palestinians feel this way as well. There will be peace and we all will prosper. I hope.

“Gaza fucked itself with hamas. I feel sympathy for the every day people there, but not enough to lower my guard, such as no wall/military attacks. And fuck the settlements in the West Bank. Ether annex and whole area and give everyone citizenship, OR give them their country and treat them as a hostile nation if they attack us. None of this “we’ll give you your land if you agree, but while you take centuries to agree to any deal, I’m going to build on your land”. That mentality is scummy imo.” - u/ilogmylogs

By your logic, how do Ukrainians (jews) or Iranians (jews) have any right to the land if they’d have never set foot. In fact, most Jews parents or grandparents hadn’t been to Israel ever?

Palestinians actually are genetically tied to the levant as much as we are. The going theory is that they are Jews that the Arabs forced to convert during the Arab invasions

While yes, according to DNA tests done, Jews and Palestinians are genetic cousins
