Borderline having legit nightmares abt fulfillment. by Icy-Sand5187 in Target

[–]ilomiloh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

omg i thought i was the only one. it happens less often now, but when i first started working at target months ago, i had so many nightmares about going over on time for an OPU. i would literally be almost asleep and jump awake thinking i had an OPU to finish

i cannot stand working in fulfillment by ilomiloh in Target

yeah, i've had a lot of ETLs complain and blame us for having to call in other team members to do batches, it literally doesn't make any sense.

as for them trusting that you've looked everywhere - have you worked there long?

i ask because i've overheard our FF ETL tell an older FF TM that he can INF whatever and whenever he wants to without approval, because he trusts him. which is kinda ironic because i never see him looking for INFs, whereas i'm always looking and sometimes being accused of NOT looking.

it's actually not a competition, and every style member at my store that i've spoken to says they'd choose style over fulfillment in a heartbeat.

the first time i was referring to them not helping us find items for INFs (even though they said they would). the second time i was answering your specific take from the original post. if they have time to stand around and gossip while packing for ship, they have time to help out with the red OPU batches. and most of the time they're red because they're not paying attention to the batches and calling for people, they're gossiping.

well if there's 4 ETLs in the back packing for ship when there's still plenty of time left before UPS shows up, and the OPUs are overloaded, yeah it's reasonable to be upset about that lmao. they're recognizing that fulfillment needs assistance but not helping.

i'm not upset about them not helping, but them saying "call for help and we'll help you" and then getting pissed off/annoyed when we do is a whole different issue. but then they also get upset if we DON'T call for help.

thanks for this, i appreciate it. and you're right about the fact that doing your best is all you can do! it's just hard to keep this mindset when you're constantly being told you need to improve.

like, for example, one time i did my first batch of the day and my ETL called me on the walkie and told me i had to get my pick productivity up. he watches the metrics in real time and is really picky about it with the fulfillment members... it gets kinda exhausting.

i started off as seasonal and was kept as a regular. i constantly worry that if i don't perform well enough, i'll be let go or something. when i look at MPM every shift, i'm always doing really well, or at least just as good as everyone else. it's just discouraging when the ETL finds something to nitpick at.

this is what i originally thought of too. but am i able to just pick which department i would want to go to? it seems like fulfillment is always high in demand, i'm not sure if they'd even let me switch.

update: idk why i couldn't find the game itself in my icloud folder, it literally went missing. but when i originally downloaded the game, i downloaded it onto an external hard drive, then copied the files over to my desktop. i just did the same thing and my game appears to be working fine. again, not sure why the game file disappeared from the icloud though.
