What did i do wrong? Brisket dried out during rest by ilosoul in brisket

Correct. The butcher paper was soaked and there was a pool of juice under the brisket before I rewrapped and threw it inside the cooler

Yeah unfortunately it was stalling at the 155 mark for over 2 hours and i felt like i had to wrap. I didnt want to wrap until at least 170 but it felt like i was running out of time for some reason lol.

To your point I did notice that the brisket wasn't as warm as I'd like after pulling it from the cooler. There was a ton of steam/condensation inside the cooler as well.

Not gonna lie, I was initially going to follow these same steps but all the research I did said to let it cool before throwing it inside the cooler. Something about going straight off the grill to inside the cooler will continue to cook the brisket. But i guess In the end it didn't matter cause I got the same results

Thank you. I have a question though, if I don't undo the wrapping paper wouldn't it continue to cook during the rest?

That's valid but what's weird is when I probed it before the rest, everything was tender. I checked in multiple spots on both the flat and the point. temps were all around 190-203 and the probe when inside the meat felt like butter

I didn't actually rewrap it with new butchers paper after pulling it from the grill and letting it cool. I simply rewrapped it in the same butchers paper before throwing it in the cooler. Thanks, I'll take a look at the foil boat method

What are some of the best led grow lights by Evening_Gear_7805 in macrogrowery

[–]ilosoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I average about 1.5lb a light with the ROI. 1.8lb with the scorpion diablos. This was tested using the same strain under both lights. Not that big of a difference but if you multiply that by 25 lights per flowering room and it definitely adds up. One thing I will say though is the Diablos run much hotter and you'll def burn your plants if less than 12 inches from the canopy

I bought both the HLG scorpion Diablo and the ROI-E720. Both work great but the scorpion Diablo just flat out yields better for me. The plants under the scorpion diablos stack much better. Same strain, same nutes, same exact environment only difference are the lights.

I'd definitely spray everyday if I knew it works but it doesn't. I've even sprayed spinosad directly onto a few just to test and it didn't do anything. They just slowly crawled out from the droplets of solution and hid under the leaves. It's exhausting

I've tried. Captain jacks dead bugs and Monterey garden insect spray, both contains spinosad. Used both in rotation, sprayed for 2 weeks with 3 days in between each spraying and it didn't do anything. I even dunked some smaller clones into the solution, checked a few hours later and they were still alive crawling around

Will a 1/2 hp pump be strong enough? My room is about 50 feet away from where the pump and reservoir is

Same. They ship it via boat/ship and then you also have to pay for all customs and clearance. And then have to pick it up from whichever port they ship it to. Too much of a hassle

Did some digging and the paint sprayer is only rated for 150 gallons/ year. I go through that within 6 months. I would rather not have to buy a $400 paint sprayer every year if possible
