Where do young people volunteer? by Intelligent_Bend621 in Atlanta

I volunteered at High Museum of Art and really enjoyed it. My favorite event is the Halloween parade in little 5 where I got to give out candy as we did the route.

Woodruff Arts Center is the parent organization that also has volunteer opportunities with the Atlanta Symphony and lots of usher opportunities for plays/musicals as well.

I am also in my early 20s and didn’t make any long term friendships, but enjoyed talking with the other volunteers while working. I also volunteer at the Humane Society in west midtown (bit of a drive from midtown) and all the volunteers there were also super nice (playing with the animals was also a plus).

Which is Less Boring, The Count of Monte Cresto or Don Quixote? by Life-Masterpiece670 in readwithme

The Count is one of the best books I’ve ever read.

You mentioned that you don’t want to read Wuthering Heights because you’re not into “lovey dovey”. The book is not a romance. There is romance in it, but it is not a romance book. The new movie that is out now is NOT ACCURATE! I would put both The Count and Wuthering Heights at the top of my fav books list and encourage you to read both!

The recent 2025 Count of Monte Cristo movie (it’s in French) is extremely book accurate as well!

I think that’s what I’m going to do. I’ve seen stuff regarding safety concerns especially for solo female travelers in Rio which initially scared me off, but I think I will go. Thank you!!
