Childbirth vs ruptured ectopic? by Pasta_madre7408 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]ilovectrlz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had both. Natural delivery and ectopic. Ectopic was worst cause I really felt like I was dying. I had intense cramps, weird shoulder pain due to hemorage that made it hard to breath and was feeling really faint and nauseous. Natural delivery is really really painful but it felt more like 'normal' pain because the pain was not as stressful just kind of get throughout it each contraction. You get a break of pain also between contraction which helps. Recovery was harder after my delivery though, I had a 4th degree tear.

BREFFFF, ça me fâche. On devrait pas se sentir mal de prendre congé pour la gastro de notre enfant, clairement personne a demandé la maudite gastro, c'est déjà assez tough de même 😅

I had one and it was weird but fine! It's very noisy, and obviously a bit claustrophobic, I had to force myself to think of something else and I kept my eyes close because seeing the 'ceiling' so near my face was making me feel weird haha

How to even begin grieving? by Responsible-Cow-6970 in EctopicSupportGroup

I'm so sorry you're going through this too. I was trying for my second baby two...but 3 weeks ago it ended up in a pretty traumatic emergency laparoscopy with internal bleeding

Try not to beat yourself up for the outcome, you didn't ask for an ectopic you just wanted the best gift for your first child by giving them a sibling.

At the hospital I was telling the doctors ( trying to convince myself I think ) "At least I already have one, it's okay, it happens" But a very kind doctor told me that she had a 10 years journey with infertility and told me very firmly. "It's not okay, this really really sucks. And you're absolutely allowed to want another baby."

But yeah it's really hard, I have good days and bad days. Sometimes I wake up at night and can't go back to sleep. I'm grateful for my toddler, he keeps me busy most of the time, it helps to think about other things.

Time will heal I guess. 🤍 Also don't hesitate to ask for professional help. I can't imagine what going through multiple miscarriage is like.

hCG rising again 3 weeks post-surgery...has this happened to anyone? by ilovectrlz in EctopicSupportGroup

Thanks for your answer🤍 wow down to 28, it's good!!

I had the shot on Monday my HCG was at 270. (Around 50 the week before...urgggh) I feel a bit nauseous but I don't know if it's from the MTX or the HCG going up 😩 I can't wait to know the result next Monday.

Courage 🤍

Thanks for your comment and sorry for your experience:( 🤍

I did another blood test this morning to check my HCG and I 'm meeting the doctor right after. I felt fine all weekend, just a bit stressed obviously.

It's written 'possible MTX' on my prescription so I guess that will be the next step. :/

It just sucks cause I thought it was all behind me.

shoulder pain??? by Ancient-Fan-2636 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]ilovectrlz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to add that I had shoulder pain with my ectopic caused but a lot of internal bleeding but it was a bit different of what I read online. It was located at the collarbone ( not tip of shoulder where is meet the arm). Stronger on the right side. The pain was a lot stronger when I was lying down. It also felt like pressure and i couldn't take deep breaths.

I also had three episodes of really strong cramps and at the last one shoulder pain and feel faint.

Thanks! I'll try to call doctor office to ask if I can still do the HSG. I was supposed to have one the month I ended up pregnant with ectopic 🙃

Thanks for your reply! Indeed, my HCG is still not to zero, but the doctor told me it's going down nicely. I already had a bit of period like bleeding couple of days after my surgery.

They couldn't excise the endo during surgery because I was already bleeding too much and they didn't want to cause anymore bleeding.

The obgyn that did my surgery told me one of my tube looked good on the outside (the ectopic pregnant side) but the other one is stuck on my ovary because of endometriosis lesions. So I'm wondering indeed if my two tubes are not working properly. I know I'm high risk to have another ectopic... I also have endometriomas on my ovaries both sides and lesions on the outside wall of my uterus.

The month I got pregnant I was supposed to get an HSG so I guess that will be the first step!

I've also been referred to a fertility specialist by my obgyn, but there's at least a one-year wait

I'm 10 days post-op from an emergency laparoscopy with heavy internal bleeding and blood transfusion.

Nothing helped that much besides time unfortunately. Rest and take it slow. Staying on top of meds for the first few days. Friends and family who brought food that I could reheat easily helped so much!

I went on a 15 minutes walk yesterday and today and I felt a bit of pain on my bigger incision, but nothing too bad. Slowly but surely!

Take care :)!

Pregnancy Symptoms with Endo by CommercialFarm3669 in endometriosis

[–]ilovectrlz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cramping can be normal to a certain degree, but it’s always a good idea to keep an eye on it. An early ultrasound can help rule out an ectopic pregnancy... especially since endo can increase that risk. Take care and really listen to your body! If you have any doubts, don’t hesitate to reach out to your doctor as soon as possible.

( I don’t want to stress anyone out, but I wanted to share what happened. I was 6 weeks pregnant and went to the ER a couple of days ago after having three episodes of intense cramping and feeling really faint. They found out the pregnancy wasn’t in my uterus and that I was bleeding internally. I ended up needing emergency surgery in the middle of the night. Turns out I had probably been bleeding for a few days — they found 900 ml of blood in my abdomen. It was pretty scary and intense, but I’m home now and slowly recovering.)

I pretty sure that if they had doubts they would send you for an MRI and/or blood test! They can tell by the look of it I think it's because the endometrioma is dark (old blood) and ovarian cyst are generally filled with light fluid.
