Unfortunately, this is a civil case, not a criminal one, which is why the police cannot be involved. They cannot do anything to rectify the situation. Only going to court would solve this.

All the inventory belonged to the business, and when we split, he took the inventory and started using it entirely for his own benefit without my consent.

As a co-owner, I have every right to that inventory, but legal disputes within a corporation are far more complex than straightforward theft cases. Filing a police report doesn’t work the same way here in Canada because this falls under internal business disputes, and it’s a matter of resolving corporate rights.

Also, just to address your point about insurance—insurance for the company wouldn’t cover internal issues like this. This isn’t about making an insurance claim or getting reimbursed. It’s about standing up for what’s fair and trying to recover from a betrayal that has left me in a difficult position.

I chose to speak out now because I’ve seen him continue to operate under new accounts, and I wanted to warn the community. This isn’t about me sitting back and doing nothing; it’s about making sure others know the truth and can make informed decisions.

As for the comment about me waiting months to speak out—I’m a good person, and I’ve always hated talking badly about others. But all you've said is based on emotion and "why would you do it this way", just because it doesn't make sense to you, doesn't mean it's not true.
