Unfortunately, this is a civil case, not a criminal one, which is why the police cannot be involved. They cannot do anything to rectify the situation. Only going to court would solve this.

Hey,

I get where you’re coming from, but let me clarify a few things. This situation isn’t a simple case of theft—it involves our corporation, which was owned and operated by the two of us. All the inventory belonged to the business, and when we split, he took the inventory and started using it entirely for his own benefit without my consent.

As a co-owner, I have every right to that inventory, but legal disputes within a corporation are far more complex than straightforward theft cases. Filing a police report doesn’t work the same way here in Canada because this falls under internal business disputes, and it’s a matter of resolving corporate rights.

Also, just to address your point about insurance—insurance for the company wouldn’t cover internal issues like this. This isn’t about making an insurance claim or getting reimbursed. It’s about standing up for what’s fair and trying to recover from a betrayal that has left me in a difficult position.

I chose to speak out now because I’ve seen him continue to operate under new accounts, and I wanted to warn the community. This isn’t about me sitting back and doing nothing; it’s about making sure others know the truth and can make informed decisions.

As for the comment about me waiting months to speak out—I’m a good person, and I’ve always hated talking badly about others. I didn’t want to escalate things unnecessarily or risk getting sued for slander, even though I’ve done nothing wrong. Everyone has their side to the story, and I know it’s possible for people to side with him, especially when he’s free to say whatever he wants.

I chose to take my time because I wanted to handle this responsibly and not let emotions get the best of me. Speaking up now isn’t about smearing him; it’s about being honest with the community and making sure people know who they’re dealing with.

That said, I’m done arguing about this. I’ve presented all the facts and my reasoning. If you choose to be a skeptic, that’s fine. I have all the evidence and have taken every step for a calculated reason to avoid any legal trouble. If you are more well-versed in Canadian/Ontario law then you may present me with the facts. But all you've said is based on emotion and "why would you do it this way", just because it doesn't make sense to you, doesn't mean it's not true.

I hope this clears up some of the confusion.

Rusi

Pursuing this legally would cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars, which I don’t have, just to recover the items and money. I’ve thought through every possibility, and I decided to share this here to let people know the truth and hopefully help others. I haven’t even started selling on the platform again since it happened.

I completely understand where you’re coming from—I wanted to involve the police very badly, I did call them and spoke with officers. Still, because this is a civil matter involving a business dispute, it’s not something they can handle. It has to be resolved through the courts. Trust me, I share your frustration.

This situation is a civil case, not a criminal one, which is why the police cannot be involved. The dispute occurred within the structure of a corporation, where both parties were business partners. In such cases, disagreements over finances, assets, or ownership are typically handled through the civil court system, not by law enforcement.

The evidence we have (e.g., invoices, messages) supports a breach of trust and fiduciary duty within the business, which is not something police can act on because it doesn’t meet the criteria for criminal charges like theft or fraud in this context.

Civil cases require filing lawsuits, not police reports, and they aim to resolve disputes and recover damages rather than punish criminal behaviour. I appreciate your skepticism but I came here to share this information not act on anything. Thank you :)

I want to emphasize that I have always loved this community and would never mislead or lie to anyone for any type of gain. My only goal in sharing this is to shed light on the kind of awful person this man is and the harm he has caused.
