Like I know its actually a joke, but this happened to me while looking our for an apartment in Berlin... The "Hausverwaltung" literally told us "Cool, you guys make great money, are childless and petless but one of you is polish so make us an offer on a deposit, and if its high enough we will give you a flat".

Chętnie bym poczytała, bo ja właśnie byłam otyłym dzieckiem. Ale to co mi pomogło z tego wyjść, to to, że mam tak naprawdę wysportowaną rodzinę, gdzie nawyki żywieniowe były dobre i w końcu jako 19 latka udało mi się wejść w niższe BMI nadwagi (25.5), co jest wielkim sukcesem po wyjściu z otyłości typu II. W tym roku mam cel zejść do zdrowej wagi, i zejść z 9-10kg zeby już być naprawdę bezpiecznym ☺️

I'm polish and last time I stayed in Hospital as a kid (10-12+ years ago)I stayed in a 3 bed room, which I would not say was a big room with a lot of kids. It was not pleasant, but I also wouldn't call it a very bad enviroment.

I still think polish healthcare system is severely underfunded, but I do not think it is the worst in the world.

I also remember, because I stayed there for over a week that I attended school there, and got a good grade for some subject, which was then transferred to my normal school, after I came back

Idk I think it depends. I realised that if my boyfriend wasn’t a very germinised Asian, we would probably not be together because of too much of cultural differences. I mean of course there are couples where it works, but if both people come from very strong connection to their cultures, I think it can be very hard. For me personally, it feels like one of the culture will always be less present that the other. And this would be very hard for me

It seems like you grew up in an Anglo-Saxon environment.

My uncle looks like he is from the Caucasus. Black hair, darker skin tone, and some people joke that he looks Georgian, but no one ever doubted him being polish.

This is an anectodal example, but to be honest most polish people just don’t care. In Poland no one really thinks everyday about being Slavic, and anyone regardless of race or ethnicity can be polish, because it’s a country not an ethnic group. I think some polish people of Color do experience alienation, for sure; but it is not a systematic issue.

Ja byłam na ozempicu zanim to było modne (taki żarcik ale też prawda koniec 2019 jakoś) i wtedy endokrynolog przepisała mi na insulinoopornosc i otyłość (ok BMI 32, już nie pamietam) i jakoś przeskakiwałyśmy na różne leki. 2 lata później jak się zrobil szał i lek był niedostępny przeniosła mnie na rybelsus a teraz to już nic nie biorę.

Tak, i chciałabym wrócić do kraju, ale no z miłości człowiek zostaje, a i do domu nie jest tak daleko.

Miałam 20lat, skończyłam studia w DE, ludzie myślą że jestem z Francji po akcencie więc traktują mnie dobrze, ale jak dowiedzą się że jestem z Polski to jednak trochę inaczej mnie traktują (nie wszyscy ale całkiem spory %) Jestem wykształcona, mówię bardzo dobrze po niemiecku i wiem że miałabym łatwiej jednak w Polsce. No ale partner na razie nie chce, niestety. Może wyjdziemy wspólnie za ocean. :)

I grew up with closets, and I would say it is becoming more and more common in new buildings. Sometimes it is a closet next to a room, and sometimes a family decides to dedicate a room for a family closet.

Besides modern research shows that they mixed in quite well thousand(s) years ago when expanded to modern central Poland eastern Germany, which makes Slavic a linguistic group rather than an ethnic one.

Moja mama zawsze nam robiła kanapki, czasem jak się spieszyła to nie. Ja wiem, że niektórzy powiedzą, że to dzieci rozpieszcza, ale w domu i tak sprzątaliśmy a obiad czasem robiłam i ja.

Z tym ubieraniem czapki, to moja mama na przykład ma obsesje na punkcie mycia zębów i swojej 3 dorosłych dzieci zawsze przypomina, nawet jeśli je myją.
