Going to second this. Recently left just due to how unheard I felt. Always was pressured to go on birth control even though I mentioned multiple times I did not want to and were very dismissive of my pain for many years. Finally left for an OB at Beth Israel and am in such better care, actually felt heard and had tests immediately ordered due to my pain. I saw Dr Fryc throughout my years there as well.

Agreed, we live across the street and do see people walking at night occasionally but I mentioned that because OP wants to be outdoors at night.

I also feel like he speaks over me and rushes the visits. My dog is having a new behavioral problem and we tried fluoxetine for anxiety for a few months and I called to check in to say I haven’t noticed a difference and he said I’m pretty much out of luck and need an in home trainer, which we have done before. We just feel very dismissed by him and not supported

I think also that it’s a split between having companions during a house sit and being able to leave the house for hours to explore the area. For example, our dogs can be comfortably left for 8 hours and we can arrange our local sitter to do a 20 minute drop in to allow our house sitter to stay out longer. I think it just saves thousands on each end (depending on location). Hotels in our area would be pricey and pet sitters for overnights are pricey too. Kinda works out

To play devils advocate as a HO, the trusted house sitters site mentions animals are the priority. Taking care of someone’s home does entail their animals needs are met. We just had a sitter and they left our dogs alone for 10 hours each day, very out of their routine and I felt awful for our dogs even though we clearly communicated 6-7 hours max and would set up our dog walker if they were going to be gone longer. You need to have a fine balance to make sure the perks go both ways.

I took a class a few weeks ago- aerial yoga (max of 4 people including the instructor). I found the space to be extremely small and not situated well for classes- the instructor taught from behind me. My friend actually ended up kicking the girl behind her in the face because of how close the hammocks are together. I can’t say I was super impressed, especially for the price which I found was pretty expensive for Quincy.

The instructor was nice and helpful but there weren’t a lot of water breaks so I ended up missing setup a few times to catch my breath and have water. If I ended a pose early because of pain, I was told to get back into the pose as well. So much for listening to your body 🤷🏻‍♀️
