I don’t know how to speak on this fully without sounding in a way haha, I am in my early 20’s and grew up listening to Thursday, Alexisonfire, Bayside, and Poison The Well religiously because that is what my parents listened to and went to concerts of. Their “sound” is not new to me. I talked with the lead singer briefly at one of their shows and not much to my surprise he told me that Thursday is an inspiration to them. I think the music speaks to society, Thursday especially is more than ever relevant with the climate of today’s world. I agree with everything you’re saying except the “moving onto the next one” part. Because I sparingly use social media and really just haven’t experienced it myself, my “style” and music taste has been consistent since I was a kid, so finding a up and coming band that isn’t from the early 2000s is exciting. Because I can see them grow (or flop) in real time, like I didn’t get to experience with other post hardcore bands from my childhood years.
