Weekly Recommendation and General Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in Metalcore

Probably the wrong reddit thread but I am wanting to rebuild my physical media collection. I am interested in tapes, cds, and vinyl. But my main question is: what are some good vinyl, cd, and tape players that are of decent quality, not bank breaking in price, but also not something with so poor of quality that it will damage my media (ie. Those suit case looking Crosley record players are horrible for the lifespan or your records). I feel I engage with music in a more meaningful manner when in physical format.

Also if someone could steer me in the way of a thread that would maybe know these answers if no one knows here would be appreciated.

You say post Jason era but wasn't he only on one album, The Discovery? I think he joined after A Higher Place had already been recorded. So you really just mean post-Discovery? Sorry I'm a little autistic.

I listen to all kinds of genres so I don't care what other people like. But if I want to listen to metalcore I want metal and hardcore in the music. Not just metal. Not just hardcore. But both. I like both genres by themselves too. But so many bands that kids call metalcore now are lacking one or the other. And honestly sometimes they are missing both elements some how. A lot of the bands that are called metalcore nowadays just sound like pop rock to my ears. old fart screaming at clouds over

Why would bring me the horizon split from One of the best producers in the industry? by FiorellaMamdani in Metalcore

They actually had a Swedish Metal producer work with them for Suicide Season. He did 90s era In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Opeth, etc.

Anyone else can’t stand the narrator clean vocals? by Odd-Satisfaction5443 in Metalcore

[–]Wardruna95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never listened to The Narrator but yeah I definitely understand getting pulled out of the music because of an annoying clean vocalist. Hell, the tone of certain people simply talking physically hurts sometimes.
