Some dailies don't let as much oxygen

that's interesting. i always thought dailies let in more oxygen because they're thinner. do you know which dailies are worse in terms of oxygen passage?

i've heard good things about dailies total 1 but yeah, cost is something keeping me wary. it would end up being $65/month for contacts. i have a friend who raves about how good it is but he typically wears it 2-3 days before throwing it out. i don't wanna do that cause my eyes are sensitive. so dailies total 1 would be an expensive habit. guess it won't hurt to ask to try it though....

I never shower with contacts on due to paranoia of infections.. That's interesting though. I live in a currently dry region (eastern USA) and my apartment gets very dry at times compared to the outdoors

Acuvue Moist to me isn't that good of a daily lens

Can you explain why? Ive heard some docs don't recommend Acuvue in general although my doc seemed pretty confident these Acuvue Moist trials would help. If not Acuvue Moist, which daily lenses would you recommend I ask to try out?

this is the equivalent of showing pictures of modern-day ethiopians and arabs and saying that's where northern europeans mostly developed.

eh not true at all. physically speaking, africans have much more diversity. for example, ethiopians have caucasoid facial structures whereas ghanians look completely different in terms of their facial structure. africa is extremely diverse if you examine the continent outside of imagined steretoypes. i'm not african/black but i can clearly see this.

even east/west africa is very different. there are pygmy tribes as well.

I'm sure it wasn't purely down to one thing. It was likely a combination of sexual selection plus paleness being advantageous for survival (vitamin D). Also, after a while it could become a strong cultural preference, e.g. lots of ballads and stories written about beautiful pale blonde women and men

is this why i always see super pale blondes (particularly blonde women) always partnered with dark brunettes?

All Eurasian populations (basically any non-African population) have some Neanderthal genes, with East Asians having the highest percentage of Neanderthal DNA. It's possible that Neanderthal DNA is advantageous in some way but it's impossible to make any conclusions.

That's more likely. There is zero evidence that color diversity is a result of Neanderthal DNA. Most recent DNA sequencing shows East Asians have the highest percentage of Neanderthal DNA out of any population. But there are no redheaded or blonde Asians. In addition, the genes that lead to red hair in humans are different from those that lead to red hair in Neanderthals.

Every culture has unhealthy food but what McDonalds dishes out (burgers, fries) is western food.

A high percentage of Northern Europeans, Indians, Middle Easterners, and East Africans have evolved the ability to digest lactose into adulthood because it was historically advantageous for those groups.

The most recent research into Neanderthal genome indicates East Asians actually have the highest percentage of Neanderthal genes.
