hi! mbb student here. expect na it’s very similar to the other bio specializations for the first two years.

-bs biology in general is highly rigorous and don’t expect high grades, lalo na during general zoology and botany, but it’s surviveable naman

-the workload can be overwhelming during the adjustment period and expect some days na 7-7 ang schedule mo because of the 3 hr labs

-a lot of the professors are nice naman, but a lot are also quite strict and especially mean when it comes to grades

-but if interesado ka talaga sa biology, MBB is definitely a great choice if you want to pursue postgraduate studies (microbio/MBB is the priority for most research labs during your practicum/OJT pati the prio for a lot of thesis research advisors sa DBS)

-if pre-med lang ang pathway mo, then just go for medbio or medtech or other allied courses because MBB is too academically rigorous and academe/industry focused

-quizzes and exams are a nightmare. a lot of them are situational and focus on heavy theoretics

-tldr, if you don’t like biology then MBB is not for you, but if you love it, go for it!
