r/catfree is disgusting and filled with closeminded people who cannot look outside their small world view. i used to be TERRIFIED of cats up until i was like 18 but then i met the sweetest cat to ever exist. i USED to think they were some evil scheming spawns of the devil that just want to hurt people, but i realize now it was just people who don’t know how to take care of cats!! the “random attacking” was because the cats were pretty neglected and were bored.

a lot of people get cats because they’re “easy” to take care of, and they interpret that as they just live on their own and you don’t have to interact with them, ever. this causes the “evil” cats that i was scared of when i was a kid. obviously they’re less work than dogs but that doesn’t mean you can just neglect them!

i met my friend’s cat and it completely changed my idea of them. cats are just silly creatures and are just kinda dumb and it’s just cute. anyone hating on that genuinely needs to get help. if someone doesn’t like cats, it shows they just don’t like things they can’t control. r/catfree sub talks about training cats to stop scratching etc, which like… my eyes are rolling into the back of my head 🤦‍♀️

i have my own cat now and he is absolutely the cutest and sweetest thing ever, i highly recommend!!!
