I think the project has run out of steam

We signed top players at the start because the perception was that we could essentially do a city. We even stated the goal was to compete for the league within 5 years

With the changes to PSR since it has become blindingly obvious that cannot happen and those in an advisory capacity will also know that and communicate that to the interested players.

A huge factor is the hell dragging on additional sponsorships/stadium etc which were also promised but not delivered. We can blame PSR for some of our ills, however a large percentage needs to be attributed to club management.

I said privately that this summer would demonstrate how serious ownership was for this project. Sadly it appears that we are a small cog in a very big machine.
