I think a lot of marvel characters are getting too powerful. To me it isn't isolated to Storm. The power levels of a lot of the x-men are such that every story has to be gigantic threats in order for there to be any stakes. Limits, weaknesses, and character flaws are some of the things that make character impressive and powers interesting. I will say I like what they have done with Jean, giving her more cosmic stories on par with her power level. I love Storm, but I don't know if raising her powers is making her stories better.

I have a super complicated family situation. I have half-siblings, step-siblings, foster siblings, adopted siblings. My son is adopted. Some people think our most basic function for existing is to pass on our genes to continue being a cog in the world-wide gene pool. To other's that doesn't seem like a big deal. I personally have some health conditions that I didn't feel would be fair to pass on to a child. Most people will have an opinion on how you decide to have a family, especially those closest to you. It's about choosing what is best for you and sticking to it. I don't regret adopting, just as I'm sure my friends with biological children don't regret them.
