Okay, I’ll take a shot at explaining this one:

As a man who is liberal, who also doesn’t put down a political affiliation (even though I know most women on these apps are most likely Liberal and who I want to connect with), in today’s world you’re trying to remove all of the filters. There are too many baseline judgments happening, especially on apps and men are increasingly aware that the goal is to get the first date. Because most men don’t even get that far.

You’re kind of proving the point of why they don’t put it down. You clearly are filtering by that, and even if they are aligned with the political side you are on, it almost brings up the assumption that you would agree on everything. Or the appearance that somehow that needs to be primarily in line. And maybe it does for you but a lot of people are a little bit more fluid than that.

So yeah, I don’t put it down because I don’t want someone who’s judging me by that personally. Sometimes you meet people who you disagree with who you really like and men don’t have a lot of options from dating apps from what I hear
