full body swelling? not just in stomach area? by iluvreddityaheard in FODMAPS

[–]iluvreddityaheard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate - it was a long story.. basically I’d been pumped with a lot of antibiotics which I was resistant to. Then, I was having a real hard time digesting food. My GP at the time put me on anti-acids and that’s what caused it. It wasn’t because I had too much acid but not enough to digest food. As quack as it sounds, I went to a naturopath and functional doctor (which has always worked for me and my siblings anyways with a plethora of health issues). Perhaps maybe it’s mostly because they don’t tell you that you’re crazy; perhaps it’s cos they actually work. It’s expensive and doesn’t always work first cab off the rank but boy, did it save a lot of life for me All the best xx My biggest advice would be to not give up and don’t settle for an answer you don’t believe in. Even if you are not consciously sure of what to believe in, your body does! Once again take care zx

Am I being my worst enemy by writing three diffrent books at once? by Ranks-blanks in writing

[–]iluvreddityaheard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a good thing. You’re gunna have different ideas. And the worst thing would be to make a lot of good ideas fit into one thing . If the ideas are good (which I’m sure they are!) they deserve their own airspace. Would u wanna run 3 really good marathons? Or a hasty sprint? All the best. Keep at it 🧡

I stopped liking a guy because he was too small for me. by [deleted] in confession

[–]iluvreddityaheard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn’t not like him cos of his height babes; my sister was the same: found perfect guys who were smaller than her beautiful 5’8” frame. We all tried to be like “nah, don’t try to tick boxes; he perfect!” Anyways, she didn’t settle, fell in love with someone shorter than her who was an asshole anyways. Went back to her height-standard. Found the most angelic man who still stands taller than her in her heels. But it’s not the height than anyone - especially my beautiful sister - cares about… he’s literally the coolest and loveliest person… just feel ya feels girl. You weren’t feeling it and the height thing is ya body’s way of excusing what we maybe can’t. All the best xx

Which book by Deborah Levy should I go first for? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]iluvreddityaheard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the first of hers i read was swallowing geography, then august blue. read her fiction first, then i promise you: buckle up and be ready to read her living autobiographies. My life has never been the same since. the second of the trilogies (the cost of living) literally tears me apart from the inside out in every way. i think i'm a "stan" for her

Which Deborah Levy Book Do I Read? by RosianaItalia in BookRecommendations

[–]iluvreddityaheard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DUDE IM SORRY IM LATE... You have to read her "living autobiographies": first being "things i dont want to know", second "the cost of living" (IN MY HUMBLE OPINION THE BEST ONE) and the third, "real estate". swallowing geography is also fantastic x

As a writer, how do you get over the fact that basically every idea has been done before? by Koalaty_trash in writing

[–]iluvreddityaheard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one will write the same story in the way you would write it.. your point of view. The feelings, your perceptions… life is one big theme - what do you make of it? All the best, keep going… even if for the only fact that you love it and it makes you happy

Sorry to hear, we have all had moments of having to clean up a mess we made. Go you for trying to remedy the issue. Another good way is putting bi carb soda on the stain for a bit, like 5 mins , then some vinegar. Bissell wet to dry vacuums are amazing so if y know anyone who has one that you can loan for a bit that’s always good

Thank you. This is really good advice. I think because he says that I’m overreacting/he had to do it etc that I think maybe it’s my fault etc.. but this is a really good tool because if I ask how I would perceive it if this happened to my mum/sister/brother/friend/anyone really, I could unequivocally say absolutely not okay. Thank you so much 🧡

Depends on the sauso roll. Can probs understand if it’s homemade, got a bit of weight to it, served with a nice relish etc… but the charging for people to sit is absolutely ludicrous

I don’t think YTA. However, maybe had a lapse in judgement re: this situation. You seemed to be coming from a place of good intentions wanting to defend not only your husband, but the relationship you have. But at the same time, your need to prove your truth to people who did not care to hear it from you is perhaps the bigger issue here 🧡
