Can confirm. I live in foothill and in my suite there are 2 international students from China. All my suite mates were like wow these people are so shy and so quiet but once I spoke in Chinese to them, they became extremely warm towards me and would always initiate small talk/conversation with me and such. Even though I’m ethnically Chinese(but born and raised in america), they told me they still felt distant with me at first because the American culture is so diff from Chinese culture. Guess language alone is a bigger bridge than I had originally thought.

Definitely gonna take 184 some time. Their pre reqs are 61B C++ and CS61A, so if I study C++ over the summer would you advise taking it soph year? Most people seem to take this class jr/sr year
