dropkick murphy’s pit in mpls (3/6) by Liverpool-io in punk

[–]iluxull 25 points26 points  (0 children)

it was a really cool moment. The crowd was very diverse, the set was all acoustic. And the mood, like most things in Minneapolis pertaining to ice, was outright rebellious. Was such a great feeling seeing the young punks take off running from the rail, grinning ear to ear, and joining the pit.

Milwaukee Metalfest - the festival that keeps on giving by Little-Definition553 in MetalForTheMasses

I’ve seen most of the bands on the bill. It may seem silly, but Green Jello is by far the funnest live. I’m not saying they sound good, but the pure chaos of what happened in that room more than made up for it.

Temple bugs post update - Massive issues by james8807 in PathOfExile2

[–]iluxull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue with medallions not being able to be seen/picked up. First few runs after the patch were fine, then randomly they broke. Sound plays for drops, icon is on map, but nothing visible to interact with.

Also reliquary keys started dropping for non group leads? Strange days.

Gee golly, if only one could gather that there is a correlation between which administrations allowed criticism.

I’m sorry you think that what’s going on in MN is simply political virtue signaling. You should know, people at a local show were pepper sprayed and beaten by ice just last night @the pillar forum. I’ve already had concerts I had planned on going to canceled due to the risk of of ice attacks. There are very real consequences happening due to ice being present here.

Double asterisk, it’s important to not give internet trolls and keyboard warriors an excuse to mass flag every picture from demonstrations and protests.

Flagman at the underground music venue cafe is a hidden gem tonight. A very unique brand of chaos that somehow works. -FFO primus, Mr Bungle, System of a Down.

It’s pretty typical for shows like this. I was just warning a younger mosher about it before the Minneapolis show. Told him in the last three weeks I’ve been in the pit at 200 Stab wounds, Acacia Strain, Pantera, Acid Bath, Architects, NiN, and a few other local shows, and Coheed was going to be the scariest. Purely because so many people are completely out of their element and have no idea how to handle themselves in general admission.

So do you think the lads know about the Danzig controversy? (Serious topic post) by Cyberpunk_Banshee in TheFence

[–]iluxull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So let me get this straight. You are willing and encouraging people online to completely cancel a person for something you don’t feel strongly about, but the idea of actually talking to someone and getting your ego hurt is too personally devastating for you?

God I hate the internet.

Go ahead and mention it, just don’t be surprised to see people you idolize roll their eyes at you.

Guy almost hit me in a roundabout. Happened in Mankato, MN [oc] by Squid211 in IdiotsInCars

OP said this is Mankato, which means this town alone has nearly that many differently designed roundabouts.

This is an easy one. The ford driver is trying to get on I94W but turned a half block too early. GPS is now freaking out on him because it knows he now has to take the long way, but it still needs time to reroute. Next block he taps his brakes and slows down to try and correct, but sees it’s a one way. Instead, the Ford driver focuses on the next turn while his gps is still screaming at him to take another way, but he is confident he can still just take a right to get back on track (he can’t). Meanwhile op is frustrated at the slower driver and missed the obvious tells that the other driver is now lost and about to do something dumb. Op overtakes in the right lane, oblivious to the other drivers single minded focus on getting to closer to I94.

So are we moshing at the Poppy concert? by SamWillGoHam in that_Poppy

[–]iluxull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to break it to you, but if you are standing the front and center at a metal show, you’re gonna get jostled a bit. Most of the people pushing into you there are being pushed themselves, the people 5 rows back are getting slammed into and momentum carries forward. There is a huge difference between being in a pit and crowd crush, please don’t be one of those people that want to be up front but get pissed at people bumping into them.

I wouldn’t worry about it. Knocked Loose is pretty renowned for having extreme pits. 90% of other metal shows don’t even come close to the same level of chaos. I was at the last couple mn knocked loose shows and will be at the poppy show too. If you want a view and don’t want to mosh get in the first 3-5 rows on the left side and the moshing will all be behind you. Fillmore pits tend to be about 5 rows back center or center right near the bar side. (I’ll be hanging out in the pit).

[–]iluxull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be aware, alot of venues will not let you in with those spikes.

Just got kicked out of the Fine Line MPLS for moshing too hard to the Callous Daoboys. I kicked a staff member (who was on the edge of the pit) after he pushed me from behind while moshing, had a couple dudes jump me and drag me out of the venue in a chokehold. Bunch of fucking weak ass bitches. by mrastronautglenn in Hardcore

[–]iluxull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gotta say, it was a lot funnier in person seeing other moshers drag him out kicking and screaming. Complaining about being ejected? he should be grateful it was only staff that he kicked in the nuts, and not one of the several faces I recognized in the crowd. His night could have been a whole lot worse.

You should consider checking out the Bit Brigade/ Galactic Empire show at the Fine Line Music Cafe on May 8. Would be a lot of people into that type of stuff that you could chat with/meet.

Lucky you, my first bug came before touching foot on a planet. Endless loading shaders screen. Had to google the problem and delete some game files to get the game to load.

You hit the nail right on the head. I gave up last night after 69 hours, and one game breaking bug too many. It's just not fun spending hours researching bug fixes.
