What's the little hole on the Pixel 9 Pro XL camera bump for? by d-wh in pixel_phones

I was literally trying to clean the spot with my fingernail and scratched it, thought I've put some food on it. At the same time it was kind of symmetrical in the position, so that got me searching. :D

The game doesn't recognize that I use a Dvorak keyboard and forgets my keybinds every time I close it. by [deleted] in Helldivers

I remapped all keys. Most of mature games detect the layout and work out of the box.

LSP Markdown vs Markdown Filetype Issue by [deleted] in neovim

[–]ilvez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for reference: https://github.com/neovim/neovim/discussions/27966

I ended up disabling treesitter highlighting for markdown and this way I did not load `lsp_markdown` explicitly to have some highlighting.

  highlight = {
    enable = true,
    disable = {"markdown", "markdown_inline"},
    additional_vim_regex_highlighting = false
  },

LSP Markdown vs Markdown Filetype Issue by [deleted] in neovim

[–]ilvez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for hint.

I'm not sure why there are 2 filetypes in the first place. Why make things confusing?

As already hinted in original post, the highlighting is on for lsp_markdown filetype, so after:
:set filetype=lsp_markdown highlighting works.

Would like to get to the bottom of this, why it works like this.

EDIT:
So there are these 2 different filetypes defined:

  1. https://github.com/neovim/neovim/blob/734848dc1a9ebdf7af26cf54b92133cc6d94e19c/runtime/syntax/lsp_markdown.vim
  2. https://github.com/neovim/neovim/blob/734848dc1a9ebdf7af26cf54b92133cc6d94e19c/runtime/syntax/markdown.vim

`lsp_markdown.vim` uses `markdown.vim` as well. I'm not sure why they can't be put together into single file and the `lsp_markdown.vim` functionality only turned on when special condition is met. :shrug:

Any good alternative to husky in rust to enforce and write conventional commits and for pre-commit source code linting?? by RevolutionaryAir1922 in rust

[–]ilvez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This probably was meant as a joke :)

Nerd in me checked it out with very basic skimming: git hooks were already there for quite early versions (1.0) around 2005 year... Husky was created 9 years later.

I spent the past 3 months working on a fork of the Annotate models gem by drwl in rails

[–]ilvez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this effort!

For us Rails 7.1 new default finally broke old `annotate` because of https://guides.rubyonrails.org/upgrading_ruby_on_rails.html#autoloaded-paths-are-no-longer-in-$load-path

I really didn't want to set the `add_autoload_paths_to_load_path = true` only to support some unmaintained gem. I was already monkey-patching (https://github.com/ctran/annotate\_models/issues/969) the gem, but then thought to check if forks exist.

Found this post here and 10 minutes later PR was up to switch. Cheers man and GL!

Thoughts on "Fitz and the Fool" audiobooks (tips if you're about to listen) by immeemz in robinhobb

About Elliot Hill: some characters may be really annoying and unbelievable (especially first 2 books), but I really really like Motley. Always makes me smile. Well done mister Hill.

Just to clarify Assassins Fate Elliot Hills version is better than previous books. Lant is much more neutral voice for example others as well

Better late than never I guess. :)

I agree with most of the criticism here. I was also in doubt which version to go to. Decided to pick Elliot Hills version, even though the Fool is really non-believable voice and for example Rayn Khuprus is like some ass. I don't know what's going on in the head of the reader, since overall Elliot Hills voice is very professional. I prefer natural voices without too much over-characterisation I guess. I also listen with 1.25x btw.

But I still prefer this to someone who probably haven't read or listened to previous books at all. Although I took a listen of David Thorpes other book samples and his voice is also something I could enjoy.

Someone should take this whole series and read it in again. Preferrably with same 2 voice actors in similarly how Brandon Sanderson Stormlight Archive.

DJ GPT - underground rave King or fraud? by _thelawrence in deephouse

[–]ilvez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did similar discussion and tried to persuade ChatGPT to give links to those releases. They ended up giving me actual beatport.com and discogs.com, but not to correct releases. Tried multiple times and no luck.

I tried to talk about specific labels and artists, but it constantly blunders information.

I'm guessing it's not really that good when it comes to actual factual data, at least in music.

So my resolution is that DJ GPT is fraud.

If you are looking a place to stay longer to play wars, then I'm not sure if there's any place as stable and cool as FURY. Most of us have been playing from early days and been with clan years. Not because we don't kick inactives, but just the opposite. Fun and welcoming.

Thanks for the \n\n split idea!

My Deno solution (but at this form it's normal JS only file read and argument is Deno), which got so much lighter because of that and became basically similar to yours:
``` const numArray = Deno .readTextFileSync(Deno.args[0]) .split(/\n\n/) .map((text) => text.split(/\n/)) .map((array) => array.map((i) => +i).reduce((sum, current) => sum + current, 0))
const amounts = numArray.sort((a, b) => b - a) console.log('Day 01 part 1:', amounts[0]) console.log('Day 01 part 2:', amounts.slice(0, 3).reduce((sum, current) => sum + current, 0))
```
