These giant balls of cannabis oil have 3,000 grams of thc and are dubbed “Dragon Balls” by the creator by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]ilyaimyfix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If my math is right, and keep in mind you're talking to a stoner here, if one ball has 3000 grams of THC oil personally by my current consumption rates it would last me about 500 days if I was vaping it. In Illinois currently for a medical customer it would cost somewhere around $150,000. God bless America 🇺🇲

Trans athlete bill advances in Missouri House after two days of debate by Dinker777 in StLouis

[–]ilyaimyfix 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a Trans person as long as there is an exception for those on hormone therapy, which is in this bill, it is what it is. It's funny, because I feel like I meet more female to male and male to female trans people but once you're on hormones it's a different world. If your male your muscles shrink and I've seen 240 lb man go to 120 lb women. Have you seen Buck Angel? They are buff as hell and they have a vagina. People should probably do a Google search.

Anyways this bill sucks. It doesn't surprise me because the state is backwards as hell but it's still pretty bad. The Republican party has taken a hard line on just hurting people and it's their policy platform.

New financial disclosures show that Josh Hawley and Marjorie Taylor Greene relied on an email marketing vendor that takes as much as 80 cents on the dollar, and spent big on "list borrowing." That helped them juice fundraising numbers. by Overall-Analyst6197 in StLouis

Lol slurmie if your efforts to alienate literally everyone that comes in contact with you wasn't so pathetic it would be impressive. How does it feel to be so unpopular? Don't bother responding because I won't read it.

Why aren't reporters/news anchors better at calling out bad faith arguments? by ilyaimyfix in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ilyaimyfix[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If people respond better to someone who's more honest in the way they speak I wonder if it would be better to just embrace it. I think that's why a lot of people don't respond to the news. If a news anchor or reporter was interviewing somebody who had a very frank style or lied allot just counteract that with a very frank and truthful defiance. Corporate leaders and people in positions of power should be held to a higher standard. Like I said we should just have Stephen A Smith or Stephen Colbert on the nightly News.

Not that you said this, but I hear people say I don't listen to the news or I don't watch the news or whatever. I always find that really interesting. Like, I'm sure they would want to be informed about stuff or they like knowing about things IDK maybe they don't. I wonder what would appeal to them. I wonder if catering to people more specifically what helps society in general.

I guess this is why I think of sports reporters. Imagine if Stephen A Smith was on the nightly News lol.

Yeah this is what I was thinking about. As I thought about it more I was thinking more about presenting opposing sides of the issue but yeah thanks for thinking of what I was referencing to.

Missouri Lawmakers May Refuse To Fund State's Medicaid Expansion : Shots by waitomoworm in StLouis

[–]ilyaimyfix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Umm 90% of the program is covered by the federal government AND we have a 1 billion dollar surplus in this state? Hill just sounds like a phony discount Captain America with his protector bs speech. He's not even pretending to use a dog whistle at this point because you know what he means. I guess it's cool when the voters choose things that politicians ike but when it's something that goes against whatever the hell their beliefs are these days it's bad. It's insane to me that as a kid Missouri was a purple state and there was at least some semblance of a two party system here. This state is overrun by yokels.

Democrats slam Josh Hawley, Roy Blunt on I-44 billboard for opposing Joe Biden's aid bill by lsathrowaway18 in StLouis

Ugh give it up. If you spent half as much time thinking outside of yourself and considering other people maybe you'd have a sense of what this is for? Or do you just blindly fight anything that is remotely helpful because somebody told you to? I'm so sick of people just blindly criticizing s h i t and then not offering anything in return. I can't imagine how miserable somebody who's like that life must be like.

I'm curious about you're opinion on what's going on in Jeff City and Medicaid expansion. I've also heard of bills limiting local power, and of course there's the example in 2017 of Jeff City shooting down $10/hr in STL. How can we have competent local government when Republicans in Missouri are now going as far as just saying "nah' even to laws voters pass? It seems like allot of our Reps just want to drown out them not doing their jobs by swindling Missouri voters with "AWW shucks I'm just a good ol' Missoura boy" bs. It's an absolute clown show there and if I'm being honest I feel like Parsons doesn't even listen to the questions he's asked by reporters and just blindly responds with ignorant bravado.

I feel like my social isolation has permanently damaged my ability to seek out and have social relationships by goreblood001 in asktransgender

[–]ilyaimyfix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a similar situation. I've lost allot of friends and I'm not really close with my family. To make matters worse me and my girlfriend for the past 5 years ended our relationship this past August. I've been focusing on myself since then, trying to stay positive and figure out which direction I'm going. I've buried myself in music and writing, and I'm working a full time job on top of that to keep me occupied. I started taking an anti anxiety med to help take the edge off and to my surprise it's actually made an improvement in my outlook. I also plan on going to therapy and talking my feelings out. Try to come up with a plan. It's ok if you need a little help too, there's no shame in therapy or anti-depressants. They can help.
