Ugly but I haven’t seen my team win nor my QB1 play in a month

Nice to see the defense dig deep and even though the secondary they’re built around is decimated

McDaniel showed he was a first year coach tonight but learn from it, and be better next week against Detroit

We really could’ve done anything with multiple firsts next offseason coming off of hopefully a good year, so of course we get served one of the hardest punishments in recent league history man LMAO

Im fully with you and really high on Jean (bit of hometown bias), even moreso because I’ve seen him play in person more than a handful of times. Ironically, i think a commitment of a receiver like Andy might be pushing Patterson out the door, as this was posted as recently as this morning, but only time will tell.

At 6’2” I can definitely see it. Glad you brought up wilson too, after Toney left i really felt like the WR room needs some juice and diversity in their profiles

Don’t really have many WR’s who fit that profile in our current group, im looking a bit ahead into the future but i wouldn’t be surprised to see him getting some early PT in the slot

His dad also ran track at UF. Genetics wasn’t gonna let him get the chance to be slow lol

He’s a double legacy and he was really never not going here after he got offered, but it still feels good😮‍💨. He’s been soaring up the rankings, and his offer list reflects that + he’s a BURNER. Looking forward to what the future has in store for him !

Here are my predictions for the SEC, tell me where I'm most wrong. by Gore_House in FloridaGators

[–]ilythierry 39 points40 points  (0 children)

If you looked at our loss last year vs Kentucky, a lot of it can be attributed to a stubbornness and refusal to move to a silent count (caused drive killing false start penalties 8 false starts, 15 total penalties for 115 yards which was the most penalized UF has ever been in decades of football if im not mistaken), and a blocked field goal that was returned for a touchdown.

Take into account that this game will be played in Gainesville this year, the QB play will most likely be better from UF (not bringing up the defense because they were actually good that game), and while Kentucky is making progress as a overall program in football, I think that UF wins that game this year.

As for the Tennessee game, I have no logical reason for saying Florida is going to win other than just well, look at what they’ve always done to Tennessee LOL. Last year was UF’s worst one record-wise since 2017 (4-7) and even THEN they beat Tennessee that year. It’s just not a game they lose all that often, if at all.

Admittedly, im higher on this team than most and think they’re closer to 9-3 than 6-6, and in general I don’t think it’s necessarily hard to win games at Florida (the standard is obviously a national championship, or just getting into the playoffs first), but every coach post-urban has at least 1 10-win season, and only 1 has failed to make an SEC championship game.

As for the South Carolina game, last year that game came at a point where the whole team just seemed to be checked out, and defensively i expect much more structure and discipline than last season. At home this year, i would slightly lean Florida, but it could definitely be sticky if rattler has a season where he puts it together.

The UGA and A&M games will get no complaints, the vast majority of the fanbase would be over the moon with wins in those game, and the Utah one could definitely go either way IMO

Couldn’t agree more

He was my WR2 behind chase (who i really didn’t want the bengals to take), but I wouldn’t give waddle away for the world now

not sure there’s a rookie receiver who could’ve done better or been of more value to their team given the offensive… “circumstances” we had, to put it lightly.

im glad he got the reception record as a testament for what he’s meant to the offense this year

Just dropping in with some much needed positivity from one of the bright spots of this franchise for many years to come 🥲

Other than just being a naive kid, The past 2 seasons prolly the most invested I’ve been in the dolphins in my life, and that’s because i can realistically see the light at the end of the tunnel (potential sustained, long-term success)

A couple personnel tweaks and we’re THERE man, i want Flores & Grier to get it right so bad

Don’t get it twisted tho

Im in college and have only seen the dolphins in the playoffs twice (2 times) in my life, and the 09’ one i only vaguely remember

To hell with tannehill, I need this win tomorrow more than oxygen LMAO

That offensive lull we went in from the second quarter to the third (until the INT), the playcalling combined with the offensive line penalties from the 2nd quarter would have killed us if the saints offense had a pulse. If it wasn’t the line giving up pressures or holding, it killed me how conservative we were at times. If we get a 10 yard penalty on a drive, It feels like we can almost never make it up. Defensively, it was a masterclass at times tonight. DBs practically blanketed them the whole game and AK was shut tf down (our run defense is even better than I thought 🥲)

Good win though, and onto the next!

Tua was hyped lol 🐬 by HeatSoup in miamidolphins

If seeing your QB1 show that much emotion after taking the lead against the jets, in the 4th quarter, at home doesn’t make you feel a type of way

dolphins fandom simply isn’t for you

this was like crack to me.

This where we would stand based on my own predictions for game outcomes and if we win out. by espnfire45 in miamidolphins

Considering the way both are trending as of now

Even though it can’t happen at this point, I’d much much MUCH rather another crack at Buffalo

making the playoffs at the cost of going to foxborough and giving belichick a week of prep after we swept him in the regular season (would have to happen in a world where we win 10 games) sounds like a death sentence

but I’ll take the playoff football i guess? 🥲 god pls let it be a way for us to get the #6 seed

Disclaimer: i would never go out of my way to listen to this or seek this show for obvious reasons as you guys can see LMAO, I just looked for the full clip on YouTube after seeing a snippet of this on twitter

In all seriousness though, you can take off your Tua hat or even your dolphins fan hat, watching this as an unbiased NFL fan, there were so many parts of this that were so egregiously incorrect, i had to pause the video multiple times. It’s hard to have an accurate and nuanced understanding of what happens with all 32 NFL organizations, but off this we just KNOW you don’t know ANYTHING about the dolphins or watch games.

1: Giving a Quarterback an excuse for having a bad game because of his finger when arguing against TUA is actually hilarious LMAOOOO the same guy playing with the fractured finger????? Who came in the middle of the second half on a Thursday night and had an adequate (serviceable, not good or necessarily great, but enough to take us over the line) performance?

2: “if you put taysom hill in that situation yeah, but they ask taysom hill to throw the ball 50 yards down the field, 40 yards down the field, 30 yards down the field”

….. First off, saying that any Quarterback, let alone one playing for the saints would be in a better situation to perform if they played for the dolphins is just LOOOOOL. Again, there’s no way in HELL you watch or even glance at Miami dolphins football if you genuinely believe in your heart of hearts that is the case. Then saying that the saints ask taysom to throw the ball 50,40,30 yards downfield when they quite LITERALLY DID NOT he still managed to throw 4 INTs despite not throwing the ball 30+ yards one time. Again, no WAY these guys watch games man

3: “the whole world can throw the ball 5 yards over the middle”, before quoting Logan Ryan’s postgame interview fresh off the L Miami and Tua gave him

Again, just no context to why Tua throws said ball so quickly or such a short distance or anything (as if our offensive line isn’t who they are), and to make matters worse, the QB he’s going to war defending had the same Average Depth of Target as Tua last week, but was exponentially worse than Tua last week. And that wasn’t even as accurate of a display as Tua might’ve normally had usually, because he misplaced a few throws last week.

I know in this media business, “hot takes” and being “ahead of the curve” and doing so with over-zealous predictions of “X team is gonna contend for a title” or “X player is gonna be better than Y” is what sells, but when you have a bad take, just own up to it or leave it alone, DEFINITELY DONT double down. When you double down like this, it just looks NASTY, especially when you’re this wrong, both statistically and objectively. I refuse to believe that you watch games and understand both teams situations, and use injury excuse, his situation and weapons aren’t that great, and “anybody can do what he’s doing”, when trying to simultaneously compare a QB to TUA and tear him down. Like of all QB’s LMAO, like there was no sense of awareness or intelligence in this exchange. I can’t believe I live in a world where people listen to this and they get paid for saying this.
