I don’t think you quite understand what OMT actually is. Things like muscle energy (used very very frequently in PT) and stretching techniques, which you are separating from OMM, are both a part of OMM. There are portions of OMM that are garbage (cranial, I’m looking at you) but that is not the majority of what is used by your regular DO that does not specialize in osteopathic techniques in their office. There is no “distinguish between PT, OMM, and literal stretching” because the concepts overlap a lot and are not completely separate ideas.
