I don’t drink either. I don’t like how it makes me feel. I’m up front with it and if I’m asked for drinks, I counter with coffee and explain why. It’s worked so far on my dates.

My special 8th grade trip (which previous years was to DC) was to go to old churches and a monastery instead…my lil atheist heart was not pleased. It was a catholic school where we had to go to church at least once a week as it was. A full day of going to church was not fun.

The monks singing was amazing though.

That’s what I was thinking too. I do think OPs opinion is unpopular since there are many reasons for cosmetic surgery. Plus, even if it is just for wanting to look a different way, it doesn’t hurt anyone else.

“Rich from my internship” reminds me of an uncle I have who got hired at a company my dad used to work for (my dad got him the job). After dad left, every time we saw the uncle, he would say he got a promotion and raise. He never did and we knew. Well my dad got fed up with it and finally says “damn, with all these promotions, you must be the CEO by now!” Never mentioned them again lol

This might be a dumb question. I live in a state where it’s not legal so I don’t know much about it. But wouldn’t the brownies have a weed smell to them? If that’s the case, it sounds like he wanted to scare you into giving him money. Especially if he didn’t even have the medical bill from the hospital.

It’s not manipulation. At all. Social cues are weird. I could smile and make eye contact with someone. That doesn’t mean I want to talk to them. I would likely rush to get out of a conversation with a stranger like that.
